this ^^ australians have shitty pings regardless of the server. the whole "but euros aren't used to lag" is bullshit. they play a ton on all different types of servers, and still have a better ping than the aussies. you cant "get used" to lag. if you're fighting a lane and someone has a 100 ping and you have 300, it's pretty much impossible to win last hit wise unless your hero has an innate advantage (like laning an OD vs an int hero or whatever). if the aussies could play on a 100 ping they'd rape the euro teams even harder than they are now

Lol, its not a roster if its stand-ins. It's like a pro-level IH match then.

Ignoring the fact that you are most probably biased

1.) when 2 players with high ping lane each other, who will win the one who always plays on lag or the one who always plays on <50ms
2.) many european player just lose any motivation when they play with such a delay, while it is completly normal for australian.

they get paid to play (well, some). they're playing in a tournament that can/will win them money if they're good enough. they know ahead of time what server they'll be playing on. there's no excuse. if they lost because "they weren't used to lag" they were the inferior team plain and simple. i'm so sick of europeans having a cry about lag honestly

Most team don't even get paid to play.

Okay since lag doesn't matter. Just play all games on useast since they get paid to play (well, some). they're playing in a tournament that can/will win them money if they're good enough. they know ahead of time what server they'll be playing on. there's no excuse. if they lost because "they weren't used to lag" they were the inferior team plain and simple.

I mean what kind of argument is that?
Shall european teams now play on chinas server all the time, so that nobody gets an advantage by forcing other people to play on unusual ping?

Noone in CIS community takes AL seriously because they never played on Lan yet. Regardless of their online achievements. This is very common in cs, ql (and was in dota 1) community.
Until they prove themselves on Lan the ping discussions will continue.

Basicly thats true, dota 1 showed that only lan matters, a lot of people still think that way.
AL are unique in this situation because they force other teams to play on high ping due to their geographic location.

That's very true. DTS / Navi used to not be a strong team online but was no doubt the best in Europe for dota 1.

What Dota 1 also showed is that a lot of EU teams can be really overrated due to their high visibility ( or SEA teams underrated) as shown in ESWC. Even worse was MYM's pathetic SMM display where they couldn't even get out of the group stage , losing to a B-tier Malaysian Team whom no one has ever heard before.

That said, dota 2 is different as it feels like more teams are really putting in a lot of effort. So it's really unwise to say this team is definitely better than that team etc. No one really knows how good each teams are especially those from different regions.

Why even bother getting used to play with over 100 ping?

All teams final goal is to perform on LAN events, and since Valve is gonna implement LAN to Dota2 the ping will be 0-5. So tell me, why should teams play with over 100 ping?

( I choose 100 cause thats the limit where it effects my play )

i really want to know what less than 100 ping feels like... i live in korea ATM and singapore is the best server for me at about 150. i really don't notice a difference up until 250, after that you really do start noticing the delay between commands. though LH still isn't really affected up until past 300

Because there's a lot of money to win in 100-ping events ?

Not really.
Starladder has only european/american teams
Premierleague too
the defense will most probably also only feature european/american teams
And many tournament now do asian grid and european/american grid. So no interaction at all.

Leave the poor aussies alone. Lan is closer than you think. Everything will get in place then.
