This is pretty much what I thought too. But with all of this, do you ever see 2-1-2 lanes coming back into fashion?
Since ganking is more viable right now, I expect a slight drop on trilanes which are relying on feeding one hard carry(more chinese style).
But I am not sure good ol' 2-1-2 would rise. There are very good heroes can survive hard lanes by themselves. Another thing is also there may be a slight trend to hard lane survivor gank heroes(more BH and qop on hard lane).
So I expect 2-1-1 + jungle with more ganker oriented line-up generally.
It's not as much experimenting with jakiro as jakiro just being a fucking amazing pick now. I'm definitely expecting jakiro to be nerfed with a longer cooldown or higher mana cost on ice path, i mean 75 mana cost and 9 second cooldown for a 2.2 second disable and path blocker?
So far I've lost all my games in which we had a tri-lane (3 games so far). I don't like playing in one very much, but watching 2 really good tri-lanes duke it out is awesome.

What hero did you pick for trilane? Where did you put your trilane?
GAMEPLAY - Added Meepo to Captain's Mode. - Added Magnus to Captain's Mode. - Fixed Reverse Polarity not pulling units from the right location. - Fixed Necromastry loss count for odd numbers. - Fixed Reverse Polarity stunning cycloned units. - Fixed Incapacitating Bite working against Wards.
UI - Fixed enemy Meepo illusions displaying the wrong health bars. - Team profile shows tournaments that a team has participated in. - Fixed bugs with cooldowns and disassembling Tranquil Boots.
VISUALS - Updated Necronomicon visuals
DOTA 2 BOTS - Added Templar Assassin to the list of heroes that bots will purchase invisibility-detection items for. - When leading a target, bots will no longer target an ability in impassable terrain. - Added more usage cases for Poison Touch. - Earthshaker and Tidehunter bots are now more aggressive when they have Echo Slam and Ravage up, which should help them initiate more often. - Fixed excessive lead time in Light Strike Array usage. - Fixed case where AoE targeted abilities could be targeted on invisible enemies. - Fixed bug with Shallow Grave where Dazzle bot would only rarely cast it on teammates. - Windrunner bot will now more often follow up a successful Shackleshot with a Powershot. - Ranged heroes will be slightly more aggressive when laning. - Fixed issue where bots with lifesteal were overestimating their tankiness. - Fixed Jugg's loadout to not have him buy boots first. - Dazzle bot is now a bit more judicious about using Shadow Wave. - Fixed bug that would cause bots to not ever want to go to the Secret Shop if they want to buy a TP scroll. - Fixed bug where bots would always think they could push towers unopposed. - Juggernaut bot now better estimates Omnislash damage (will no longer think it'll bounce to out-of-range creeps). - Bots will now consider whether their laning opponents are ranged or not to determine their desired lane position. - When a hero is farming a lane, bot desire to push that lane is now lessened.
I was void/am in those games. Generally tried to take as much farm and exp as possible but I really couldn't do much the whole game since I didn't get much exp nor gold in the trilane. Maybe it was my fault, maybe the supports' but by the 20th minute when I'd usually have treads +bfury and on my way to something else I had just treads and half a vanguard (bfury was really out of the question due to how bad the situation was, so i opted for vanguard instead). i remember once having tide and kotl on my lane, and the other time treant and something. Maybe I just got unlucky with my few trilanes so far

Pub trilanes fail most of the times. I remember that once 3 guys on my team decided to do a VS,Leshrac and Bane trilane versus a Luna and Jugg dual lane. One would think that it was pretty much a free win for the trilane, right ? Nope, they managed to lose. Why ? Because of the lack of coordination.

AM's ok in trilane, but there are carries that can do much more early on. Void can't do anything.
Rule of thumb for melee carries you need ranged support otherwise they'll harass away all your hp whenever you try to hit a creep. Second all your supports need high killing potential (stuns or slows) or decent aoe to chip away at the opponents. Or something defensive to stop chain stuns (sd, es).
How many of you guys uses the quick buy/sticky buy system? When I watch streams, it seems many players quickly click through shop instead of using it.
If you don't know what it is, there's this small box under the shop text, you can drag any item from shop to there to add small icons for them, clicking them will buy them and remove from list. Assigning a hotkey will also make it buy any item you can afford with single click (though sometimes the priority fucks up) it usually buys the most expensive one, really helpful if you are about to die and have chunk of money and don't plan on buyback at that point of game or to dump the items quickly on courier. Same works for sticky, which seems to be pre-set as TP scroll, really useful on those escapes to side shops.

I use quick buy all the time. That's how I buy everything other than starting items, just about.

I use the quick buy function all the time. I always open the shop, type the name of the item I want and then shift click it on my quickbuy box.
