As long as the ping is steady it's not THAT much worse to play with 300 ping than 50, in my personal opinion. What makes playing a bitch is when you're spiking like fuck so you're at 50 one second and 600 the next, then back to 100, then 450, etc.

Some heroes you can feel it though. Puck, for example, it really hard to play for me. Pudge is another.

I can't max out everything on 1600x900, but when I turn off the main fps killers like shaders, AA, vsync etc and leave textures and rendering on max, I can still get a healthy 50 fps. I never knew the game looked this beautiful because on my old laptop, I had to literally put textures rendering everything on lowest so it looked even shittier than wc3.

Best suggestions in that thread so far is that Australians should behave more like the sterotypical Russian/Brazilian so we can get our own server.

Personally I'm fine not having my own servers, like playing with Euro but I assume the Australia community is a lot bigger than ours.

Maybe. There was like 50 concurrent games at the peak of the BA servers. The biggest problem is that half of all Australian can't play on our nearest server SEA because they use OPTUS which does some weird routing stuff through the west coast of the US (I'm not sure about the details) and so everyone is pretty much forced to play on USW.

Seriously I mean...I've done Chaos Knight/Naga Siren before and it was hillariously good fun (especially after managing to grab an Illusion rune at one point). Adding Meepo, Phantom Lancer and Brewmaster would mean on maxed abilities with Sceptre alone you've in the region of 20-25 heroes and duplicates through Phantasm/Mirror Image/Divided we Stand/Juxtapose/Primal Split.
Then add Mantas and an Illusion rune on top of that.
Now thats what I call split-pushing.
