Now pelase don't flame, but when Day[9] says something the whole english community listens to it. HD and Husky are making SC2 popular for the masses. If you want players I would say it's inpossible, at this stage of the game it's really hard to determine who is going to have a long term influence on SC2.

Husky/HD: Called in one, because they made Starcraft unbelievable popular over Youtube, that has nothing to do with quality or shit. TLO: Just because he was the first one getting a real fanbase, because of the play and his personality. I'm not so thinking you can already name players, because the game is too young, even if Fruitsellar made a big impact on the scene when he won GSL

I believe Boxer will be extremely influential for SC2, but what has he done so far? He officially announced his switch a few days ago and we've only seen very random ladder games from him. I agree with you on everything else though and I would replace Boxer with White-Ra. Why White-Ra? Anyone playing toss during beta would know.

day9 - practically everyone improves by listening to him and practicing what he preach husky - many people might not like him but i do think he is the one who brings all the casual. One big difference between sc2 and other games is that i have a couple of friends who does not play the game at all ( nor bw or wc3) but they actually listen and enjoy to watch husky's cast. TL admins/senior figures : i think TL basically is the center of all Starcraft 2 (and BW) activities outside Korea ( and even it has its reaches inside Korea) . They can command anything and a bunch of SC fanatics ( us) will follow. if the last one does not qualify because it is not an individual then i'll have to say Dustin Bowder

Well if you exclude game designers then: 1) Lim Yo Hwan .... without him Starcraft isn't what it is today 2) Nazgul (and the rest of the people behind TeamLiquid) 3) Founders of KeSPa

reason: Snatching up all the fanboys for the past two years, aswell as being the main inspirations for (formerly) up and coming BW players. SC2: Day[9], HDhusky reason: Contributing towards making SC2 big internationally. I don't think any (new) players have been influential or inspiring for long enough to make a big difference outside specific communities (like TL). Both: Boxer reason: A testiment to skill, and a huge influence for years, using his fame exclusively to make e-sports in general bigger.

Fruitseller - For showing you can win if you do everything(and do it well) Ppl for remembering BW tactics that they seemed to have all forgotten until they see it (unsurprisingly) working well in SC2 in some late stage of a tournament.

Boxer for creativity and exposure into the mainstream oov for his macro, without him the game would be different Nada for micro, and WINNING, same as above.

he is right, but he is wrong to not explain why and just to say its terrible. You have a one line op, and honestly imo it should be closed for not enough effort put into it. You give no reasons for your answers, and your question will bring answers from bw, sc2, let alone different time periods. (not saying this is a bad thing, just i don't think enough effort was put into it.)
