The last MSL Final was a sad joke because of the players, not because they dropped out this time around.

Why? Luxury was #2 zerg and jangbi #2 protoss.

So a final without Bisu/Jaedong/Flash sucks?

To be honest, it does to me (+Stork). But that's irrelevant since Lux/Jangbi weren't bad players at that time.

That's ridiculous. Whoever makes it to the finals beat out all the competition to get there. Sure, sometimes the players cheese or get easy groups or whatever, but just because your favorite/the best player isn't in there doesn't inherently diminish the quality of a finals. It is the play displayed that counts and only that.

That said, HiyA vs Hwasin was extremely entertaining. Worth a watch for anyone who skipped it because the players aren't superstars or just because they think TvT is boring (though it is long).

Listen, the guy who originally said the last finals was a joke said that because Luxury and JangBi were both knocked out in the group stages. That's the only reason it was on-topic.

What does the performance of the last MSL Final have anything to do with whether or not the players make it on further in the group?

That's not even close to being true. Not to mention the play wasn't that good after the first two games.

I still regard Jangbi as one of the best players in the world. He just has some sort of mental issue when he's up against Bisu. He's fairly close in raw skill to Bisu, I think.

Talking about the entirety of the bold part, you know, the "only that" part as well.

I'm saying that there are others things to a final that makes it great besides gameplay. You're disagreeing. I'm tempted to insult you.
