I too feel it was mainly that hoejja lost the game. Credit to Reach though, for hanging on, and those great storms turned the game around totally. More like a moment of absolute brilliance to turn the tide. Still, hoejja should have won it.

Um, Reach wasn't terribly behind vs Hoejja at all.
Hoejja lost so much taking away a mineral expo, but Reach still got all the gas he needed and then some. 2 gas P > 2 gas Z. SC 101. I bet if they showed rep, Reach's psi would be way higher than Hoejjas even before the big clash.
And Hoejja's extra bases had no impact. He barely had drones at any, his gas wasn't coming, and his army never built up because of the nexus runs. Reach's gas base of mass goons never really died out cept hitting 4, and so, 1a2a3a win.
Reach coulda won a lot earlier if he didn't bumble around the center because he was so indecisive during the counter or hit the 2-clock min. It was fun watching him struggle like that. I didn't know Reach could win PvZ still, like ever ever win.

Well I believe Daezang has been tryingto emulate Reach too much. Reach man probes are in no need of cannons. O nce Daezang clears that up he'll be good once again

IMO, the premature attempt to force end the game was Reach having the confidence issue of not enough practice in that game against Flash. It was one of the few situations where I looked and said, "the old Reach could've pulled that off".

Reach vs Hoejja and Reach vs Flash were sick sick sick games.

Do people really think Reach played well against Hoejja? Until the 1 moment of micro for the storms he wasnt doing much at all, just moving his ball of units around and losing tons of probes and templars. He barely held off the attacks, constant losses but then Hoejja makes 1 mistake and its game over. Bit of a shame imo, he was doing well splitting his army up and avoiding the protoss ball.

So Reach kept losing probes and templars, contained at his naturals, yet the first battle he wins means victory....maybe there was a bit more to it than "Hoejja doing well, avoiding the protoss ball (he constatnly clashed with it but whatever) and making one mistake"....?
Hoejja had relatively low econ and late tech despite having map control most game, what is Reach supposed to do when all Hoejja does is relentlessly throwing attacks at him?
