TvT matches rarely last as long as people claim these days, so I have a feeling this won't take long. Flash and Light should be able to make it through easily.
I want to see Light win this group 2-0. He could do it. I am really wishful thinking, but I would love to live in a world where Light wins this season. Only way to be the man is to beat the man.

What ever time gain they are gonna be able to stomp out of lesser competitors they will use to stall out against each other

The gap between the last season and this was long enough for him to rest.
I think the final swap in the group selection from the last ASL champion should be removed from rules... Zero on this group would make it much more interesting!

mong probing the map after a quick investment into the island 3rd, and flash rocking a super mobile force intercepts the probe with ground forces with dropship support and gains a nice advantage that never let up
Jokes aside, this game was really entertaining. Having both players take all bases of the map and then immediately lose almost all of them in quick succession was an unusual dynamic.
Hot take time but really not sure there’s anyone capable of beating Flash in this ASL. Maybe Best but he’d prob lose to a Zerg before making the final.

Who else could realistically beat Flash in a bo5?
Soulkey, snow and soma have the best chance in that order, however offline is just a way too different of a ballgame

SnOw, the only person on this list to beat Flash in an ASL series, is in the middle? I mean, I get that last season's finals were pretty sad, but that seems a bit ridiculous. And while Sea.KH did look good in the Ro24, uh... no. Maybe in a few seasons. I also think you're underestimating ZerO and Soma, though they do both tend to choke offline.
Hey thats just my list, i could be wrong... In fact i must certainly am. But Sea.KH does look good in every game i watch him play on stream, and i mean scary good. I think he will be, if hes not already, the new Flash contender.
SnOw doesnt look that scary in PvT anymore, and i do think that Stork has an advantage on him especially on new maps. Best is stronger than ever, i just hope he can play like he does online.
No faith in ZerO. To me, he is the zerg version of Bisu. Multitasking god, superb macro, but have the decision making of a fried shrimp sometimes (especially offline). Soma has greater odds imo.

I would give a top macro Zerg the best shot, Flash always brings his A game vs Protoss and if the maps aren't horribly imbalanced Flash usually comes out in top.
In that sense Soulkey/Zero would have the best chance to give Flash a run for his money but they would have to play near perfect throughout the series.
Best has a realistic shot but provided someone takes out the Zergs for him. Maybe Snow if his form is absolutely top notch on a day, he got stomped 4-0 by Flash but he can play much better than what he showed the previous ASL. Stork has been an absolute beast recently in PvT so he's up there as well.
Terrans on the other hand have almost no chance, it's the least volatile match-up of the 3 and almost no strong Terrans left.

Snow beat Flash due to the maps, people always say Flash won the "imbalanced" map that series but if Third World wasn't played twice that series might have been very different.
I'd say soulkey is the only one I'd consider betting on against flash atm. Best still has to prove he can do the great stuff he does online in a LAN setting, and stork.. well, Stork is a contender, maybe.

I don't want to drag out this conversation too much, but SnOw's only loss in a PvT series was last season's finals. In fact, excluding his matches against Flash, he's never lost more than one game in a series against Terran in all of ASL/KSL. I see no grounds for dismissing that. Again, he's not favored against Flash (I don't think anyone is) but he's the Protoss with the best chance.
After seeing FlaSh's performance do we even really need to talk about who can take him out? We need to find a candidate who won't be swept 4-0. And I think it's SK although he's recently back from military. SnOw also has a chance especially on Inner Coven. SoMa should deliver well if he won't choke offline like he did KSL semis vs. Light. Also why no one is mentioning Bisu? C'mon he can make it to finals and I bet it will be good finals.

Bisu trends: * Always loses to tier two Zergs prior to finals (exception Larva) * Never has won a finals versus a Terran
If he does win this ASL, it will look like all of his and Rain's past championships.
Flash Trend: * Doesn't lose boX versus Protoss (exception Snow pre finals)
I think if we had to bet, it would be on SK or Action.

True. Think only ones who can take out Bisu are SK, ZerO and maybe SoMa (I'm not sure if he's experienced vs. sneaky style of Bisu). But let's see if he can get out from group of death first. Action is pretty well but he chokes hard when he gets to ro8, hope he improved.
I am for the rotation of the players. Snow was in the finals and semifinals. Let others go out now. Although certainly Snow here looks stronger than the rest.
