This would be my first microtransaction too! Definitely worth it. The effort is phenomenal.
Same here

Congratulations to Rain! Was a bit sad for Mini, felt like it wasn't his best showing unfortunately.
I absolutely loved Tastosis' casting in the final game - sort of reminds of their SC2 casts where there's just so much uptempo action going on the entire game.

Even though I was cheering for mini, Rain definitely deserved the win. He dominated everyone he played which basically included every top non-zerg player in the tournament. The first 3 games were pretty lame, but the last 2 were fun to watch. Mini almost made a comeback in the fifth game but seemed to be too indecisive once he got the upper hand from that engagement and instead of killing the 3rd he just seesawed back and forth too much and didn't get much done.
Mini's micro is generally so good, it's weird he never tried a real zealot rush or reaver harass for the entire series (especially game 5 when he got reavers but just stayed home the whole time and let rain get further and further ahead economically). Also did mini forget to get zeal legs game 4? Or just cancel them/get them waaay to late? He had a LOT of zealots for a while without legs.
We'll see how the the rest of the year goes but I sorta think of rain/last/soulkey as the new bisu/flash/jaedong. All 3 have been top in the scene for a while (behind flash ofc though) and each won a KSL now. And I guess that makes mini the new stork lol.

The only interesting thing for me about this finals was game 1. Mini surely came up with a decent plan and BO for every map, but that game 1 lol that game 1 just torn him appart. You can see it every step of the way in the rest of the games. Its almost as he played under fear. He was lucky those dragons bugged for Rain in both games otherwise he would have looked a lot worse.

These were boring games. The KSL organizers foolishly picked Protoss-favored maps and this is the bland fruit they produced. I wonder if the poor viewership will lead to the demise of the KSL. KSL 3 had the worst games of any tournament in the post-KESPA era.

A truly enlightened opinion, thank you.

Worst KSL?
Ummm maybe in the context that every ksl is dope so worst of the three.... maybe.
This season had more novel play by protoss in years and furthered the meta a ton.
All my favorite players were knocked out rounds ago and it was still great.
Last v Rain was a war. Soulkey lost.... because he got stomped. Like.... so many good games and matchups.
So much salt dude. So much. Like reading the sc2 public chat.

Maps had barely anything to do with the results. Bear in mind that all top five Protoss who are active and well are participating right now. Terran only has Last, who was impressively upset by Stork, then maybe Sharp, though he'd be up against monster PvT's and Soulkey the rest of the way if he advanced. Soulkey was the only potential champion among the Zergs since Hero and Effort left to the army. Don't know what happened to Larva in the qualifiers. JD is a shell of himself, and Action/Miso are respectable and improving but not quite championship tier yet. Zero has potential to be a top Zerg and I think he will be, but it was his first tournament back and probably not his best showing.
Put all that together, stir it up with a bit of luck, and I'm not all that surprised the final four was Protoss (at least after Last was knocked out). Give lots of credit to Snow and Stork for putting up monster games, they 100% deserved it and knocked out the champions.

I dont know, i felt like this finals was better than mini:last Game 4&5 were fun, and tastosis were on fire. No hate towards Mini, but there is little to hope from a bw series on stage if Mini is a part of it. The guy is super skilled though, he just cant handle any pressure. About Rain... Wow. I would like to see a rain vs flash series soon, looks like Rain is the #1 in the world right now

Rain is overrated. There are just no other great Protoss players at the moment.

THE GOD Rain is overrated. There are just no other great Protoss players at the moment. And no Terrans to beat other Protoss's. And Zergs are weak now too.
Yeah overall a pretty good time to be a Protoss player with just solid fundamentals.

Before KSL3 I couldn't understand the Hype for Rain. He seemed a decent but bland protoss to me. For example vs Sharp who you know is going to vulture harass, he was just unprepared, etc.
Now to have witnessed him in RvP I get it. I don't comprehend how he gets it all so right. Obviously he just knows some stuff that the rest of us don't. I hope to see more RvP in the future!

I didn't even realize this was already over lol. This season's finals sucked.

Yeah. They say Rain was overrated. OSL, GSL, ASL and KSL champion. Nice try :D

anyone who hates on flash vs fantasy and jangbi vs zero truly isn't a fan of starcraft.

Do you actually mean the OSL with Jangbi vs Zero and then when he won vs Flash and Fantasy to win his second OSL? If so, just pick another game if that OSL was boring to you. I was at the end pf my seat back then.

Question, so I have never watched Brood War before but watched Rain and Mini. There were a couple of engagements that were ruined by what Tasteless called a Dragoon stop bug. Why did they never patch this? As a first time watcher it really hurt my interest in the game.
