Dark Archon is not very common but I've seen Snow and Best do it a few times. It's definitely more popular than before though.

Mini better play his heart out or bring out the nastiest and most despicable cheeses in existence because Rain is really over 9000. And I don't even like Rain yet all the praises are well deserved and not enough. Awe, just awe at his abilities.

They haven't mentioned his name or record (pre and post kespa) once in that regard... I think in general they don't really like to mention inactive players that often. Maybe I'm wrong but I think they're just trying to hype up the current tournament/players so they don't want to make it seem like there are way better players out there that just aren't competing (except for flash). But yeah totally agree that Bisu had the best PvP in the kespa era, although since he never went deep into tournaments after 2009 it wasn't really tested that much in high-stakes series play for the last 2-3 years. An argument could be made for Stork being the best PvPer in BoXs.

His claim is in the fact that he could always go toe to toe with the top Protoss players. However, ![]()

Rain vs. Mini is going to be great. The pros often talk about the important of momentum in a series, especially in a long BO7. I can see Mini pulling off the upset if he can go on a roll winning G1/G2, then potentially riding that into a championship. But if the first couple games go in Rain's favor, really won't be surprised if this ends in an anticlimactic sweep. Rain has a strong mental game, whereas Mini's still developing his (and is certainly growing with his results in the past few tournaments). Good luck to both!

Even in the smallest of things like picking off scouting probes or dual microing his army and his own scout to keep them both alive. There is a bit of luck in some of these micro circumstances but when that luck presents an opportunity, Rain takes full advantage of it. You can tell he's a true student of the game - studies his timings inside and out, and really knows the maps he's playing on and converts it to his advantage. Rain vs. Mini is going to be great. Good luck to both! i feel like it is hard to vote against rain in a pvp at this point, but i also thought stork was poised to smash through mini and that didn't go so well. rain in his current form should 4-0 or drop a fluke game here and there because mini is good and decisive enough to take those wins that snow was too afraid to. but will this same rain show up to the finals? who can say

Mini has no chance imo. | ||

You're either a terran or zerg player, your worst matchup is against protoss and you avoid playing anyone that you think might be better than you.... ![]()

Mini showed some great initiative and creativity when destroying Stork. Rain completely dismantled Snow with his understanding of the matchup and with him being decisive. Rain is never afraid to take battles (even though I don't always agree with his taking of certain battles). It might be possible we get an epic finals in the worst possible mirror matchup imo.

I'm not as easy to box as you thought. ![]() It's just that fanboy keeps mentioning him when he's literally not currently relevant at all. Everything with that guy is a referendum on Bisu. But it's all but fact Bisu is a major choker and lacked true killer instinct.

It's been a while since I engaged a troll and with Bisu returning I need to brush up on my knowledge. Until then I will leave this totally un-clutch Bisu moment for you. ![]() User has warned himself for use of this glorious gif

He's the No. 1 BW player as far as glam goes. Sadly he was possibly the most talented, but most talented isn't the most skilled. And now his pupil, Rain, has clearly surpassed him. Rain *does* have the killer instinct to match his shrewd mind.

Not even close losses, either. Embarrassing losses to players who are also-rans in comparison to Bisu. How often did you see prime Jaedong losing to Shuttle, or something, in a pivotal position? (And I love Shuttle!) The only Protoss more disappointing than Bisu is Best.

Anyway, I think bisu and Rain have similar styles, especially similar weakness. They both have a poor decision making for their level, often taking poor engagement for no particular reason; (bisu vs ssak game 4, asl 4, bisu vs flash game 2, asl 4 comes to mind), but in terms of pure skills, Bisu is miles ahead of Rain, and anyone else, including flash. Unfortunately, that weakness is a major one, and hard to rectify. Imo, Flash has the best decision making of all time, and this is why he dominates both of Rain and Bisu, but has more difficulty against players like Hero or Stork who are weaker, but excellent at decision making.

Bisu is nowhere near Flash in terms of skill. Game sense is a skill. Decision-making is a skill. I lost faith in Bisu after hero trounced him. Classic Bisu. Huge favorite. By far the most skilled player in a decrepit scene at the time. Still can't dominate the scene. In his best matchup. Hero is actually a player who has rather consistently had his number.
