That's noble, but "luck-based strategies" are part of the game too. Boxer definitely knows how to gamble, both with greedy builds and rush builds. Nada's scarier now that he's less predictable and mixes it up more. Jju's 5 pools against protoss get him easy wins sometimes and also make protoss play more conservatively in future games against him. Savior'll also gamble for an edge sometimes on longinus/RLT where he thinks standard play leaves him at a little disadvantage. Measuring the "best player" in a game should include the psychology and choice of opening build too. Just like in poker, playing this meta-game well can consistently give you an edge in the blind early game, even if it's just forcing your opponent to spend resources scouting early.

Anyway, I'm sure you know all this, and I'm not advocating 5 pooling if you don't think it's your best bet to win, but I think your attitude is a little overly anti-cheese.

5th page, forth post down. I would install SC on there but the boss has hates AIM and games, if I were to install them on the computer and get caught I would get fired, and I reeeeaaaallllllly like that job b/c I'm the only one there from 5 to 9. And I can do anything really, most of the time I'm on tl.net or using google chat.

Testie 1-1 vs Tempest

Pretty bad games though.

Game 1 Blitz X, I don't have enough larva to stop his zealot attack cause I overpowered drones by like.. 3 drones or so. So he gets my building expo / kills it as it finishes with speed zeals. Then i'm disadvantaged and he runs me over.

Game 2 Luna, I random zerg he tries a zealot probe rush. It dies miserably. I build 30 speedlings after minorly power droning to prevent his expo because he has no citadel yet etc and a low zealot count... works like a charm, it kills him.

Game 3 Peaks, I random zerg and he does an all in zealot / 5-6 probe rush that pays off greatly. After that it's him chipping me away as he expands and i'm with far too low econ to do anything about it.

BuGz 0 - 2 Mondragon

Game 1: Damn ramp should of gone in thought my marines were to fat, destroyed sunk and then went in when wall of drones and lings were present haha yeah.. that was smart.

Game 2: Total Rape on BlitzX, according to Mani, I'm not going to hell. (again). Proxy Fact didn't work out to well afterwards 2 wraits were taken out followed by the killing of a drop ship full of marines. And the lift of CC. Fingers were bad to me today.

Was fun facing someone 10x my skill level, if I would of practiced I might of stood a little bit more of a chance.
