1.8. It is allow to pickup a player, while we already are in a season, but not anymore in the playoffs. If you pick up a player, please announce it in the thread. Please keep rule 1.9 in mind. 1.9.1. Race-switching is allowed, if it is announced at least 1 week beforehand in this thread. Thats an excerpt from the rules. @Free agents joining teams: As you see there is no rule that forbids new players on team to play in the next clanwar. And since free agents do not change their race, but much more announce it, rule 1.9.1 does not apply. @Race-switching: Rule is that you need to announce your raceswitch at least one week (seven days) beforehand. This is the rule for everybody. And I enforce it on everyone just the same. I already had 2-3 requests for a immidiate raceswitch, which I declined, just like I declined your request. The one week rule came from poll number 9 from the discussion thread (see: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=369472 ) Summary: - Eywa needs to announce his race until tommorow 17:00 GMT (+00:00). This is a single exception, since DeSPA was about to disband and in interest of a smooth eigth team league, I will allow this. If Eywa does not define a race until then, I will randomly choose a race for him. - Gorg must stay with his race setup for this week, but he is welcome to announce his new setup until Saturday 22:59 GMT (+00:00) to play it on November 24th. So there is no rule about that, and you just make it up as we go, rule after rule. Are other people intitled their own opinion? sure, but what they say doesn' t mean anything, beacuse you run the league. And there are rules. Oh wait, rules can be changed and exeptions made whenever you want. right. Nowhere in the rules says a player can play the same week, and it seems unfair to me. Summary: Eywa agreed to not playing this week, so all is good. | ||

It's not breaking the rules because he just joined the league and needs to pick his race to participate in the league. You on the other hand have had weeks to decide what race you want to play. | ||

Eywa is allowed to announce whatever race he chooses to play for the next round because he is a new pickup, allowed by rule "1.8. It is allow to pickup a player, while we already are in a season" Comparatively, players who are already in the league and who want to play a race different from the race they registered with have to announce that race 1 week in advance of when they play it. For example, if I wanted to play Terran, I can announce that now, but I would not be allowed to play Terran this Saturday (Round 2). I would need to wait till over 1 week later, or Round 3, for my race switch to be valid. | ||
