Or actually, maybe since there's 8 teams, we can all vote one person to be the All-Star and have the players of teams #1, 2, 7, and 8 on one team, and players of teams #3, 4, 5, and 6 on another or so. Just a suggestion.

Yes this can be done, but I need to see, if I can organize it. I timed this league (datewise) to fit my schedule of university. I dunno, if I will be able to do much after January 5th.
I will try though. I guess one more saturday will not be too much.

If you bothered to read the thread, he showed up 40 minutes late, and allegedly someone else got onto his account and played a game (if we have people doing this for the league, that is troubling). Apparently if you look at the hotkeys used in the game you can confirm it wasn't him.

I didn' t watch the game in question, but why would one smurf someone else to loose? unless it was someone from another team? thats despicable at the least. I' m more worried about people smurfing in to win. I think we need a detective for the league, any volontiers??

If someone wants to cheat, they will always find a way. There are probably tons of hacks that work with iCC's Antihack. It is simply not possible to prevent stuff like this entirely. But I think this was just a sole case like that.
But to be clear, I will punish such behaviour hard, if I will get to know of something like this. It is just a funleague, please just remember this fact, before you try to cheat/smurf/whatever.

So NW POWER have offically denied a match and taken the WO.
Coupling that with the non-response of chrisolo about our hacking and PLAYING of
one of the games from the set. An other factors I offically step off the DeSPA roster
I may join as a player for another team in
a future league but as captain of DeSPA Im done. I cant be arsed if its more important for teams to win
then to play. I do appricate scheduling and work etc.. But if ur happy to have ur oppenents account HACKED
and still use it as a win, well...... I'm not interested. Hf D rankers and FOCUS!

NW Power never take Walkover because someone hacked into your account, but rather because no player from DeSPA showed up. Yes you asked for a pp, but as I already stated, it is infact nearly impossible to pp allkill cw's. Thus it is obligated to ask the opposing team beforehand and try to agree on a date. You simply wrote on saturday (or friday, dunno exactly now) that you cannot make it. That would have been fine, if four of your players actually showed up. But no one showed up and NW Power actually came with at least 6 people afair. It is unfair to you to get walkovered, but it is as much or even more unfair to let someone wait. I know it is a bad feeling to get walkovered and yes it is frustrating to be a captain sometimes. But common, dont be a whiny kid. Step it up until next saturday and you still can make Playoffs. Bad things happen.
If you want to give up, just because of one setback, then I am pretty dissapointed, tbh.

I don't even understand how that was a dispute. Either he played and lost or he didn't actually play and lost due to w.o. NW wins 4-0 regardless. The more important issue is whether L_Master is lying (I'm making zero accusations here) or someone else actually has access to his account. Both options are worrisome and need to be straightened out, but the fact is NW won due to w.o. regardless of the situation.

Putting aside the fact that someone allegedly got onto Lmaster's account, why are you acting like a victim for getting walked over? Your entire team didn't show. Their team did. It is very unfair to your opponent to just not show up, and then expect them to bend over backwards at the last minute to reschedule.

Which is more or less guessing the password of the account... so unless your password was 123 there is more chance that you give your password to a friend or whatever. Maybe years ago, who know.
Maybe he played for you because he saw no one of you was online in time, maybe you asked him, i don't know and honestly i don't care.
I'm almost sure that any further investigation would grant sanction to you or your team.
Also there is rules setted for a w/o, so you know before the league start what would happend, come 1hour after a clan league match and ask for a pp is not fair at all and i don't think lot of people in this league would accept that.
Your team don't have player in time, why don't just accept the w/o ?

I am leaving for all the reason stated above, The un-bending nature of the league (how can I ever plan for free saturdays when things come up I have no control over) I asked for a PP BECAUSE I had no choice.
NO-ONE showed up from DeSPA?! No-ONE! That tells me from everyone walking away already THERE IS NO DeSPA.
5 ppl do not a team make, especially if i can't rely on them to kick some ass when I can't.

Sure, it is really weird to have this "someone got onto Lmaster's account thing". But I have no idea why you think that should allow you to completely reschedule your match and force NW's entire team show up AGAIN to play you, because someone got on Lmaster's account. Like Kaze said, "either he played and lost or he didn't actually play and lost due to w.o". You are acting like a victim, mad that the admin won't make an entire team bend over for you and your schedule.

You should know if you can attend a league with a set date long beforehand. Yes as I already stated that teams with less then six players are not very optimal. Someone will always have stuff coming up. I know that no one's life is centered around this league. But in an Allkill format it is strictly needed that people show up to a pre-set date. If your team has less players because most of them are inactive, it would have been the best, if you contacted me and explained the situation. I cannot judge if a team is active or not and if I see a team with a roster of eight people (twice the needed amount), I simply have to let other teams draft first (if they have less players). Your team would have been higher in the drafting priority and could have draft more active people. Yes I am the orga of this league, but I cannot think for everyone in this league. And I cannot guess someones problems. I am sad that you think I would judge against your team or anything. But I can assure you that I am as neutral as I can be. Can't you understand that it is the normal process in a league to give a team a WO if the opposing team does not show up. It does not even matter, if someones got into LMaster's Account. Yes there should be a ruling, but guess what? My ruling would be a punishment for LMaster. I cannot punish someone I don't know. But if someone got into his account, it is probably his fault (sharing his password etc.), since I cannot imagine someone actually HACKING into his account. My ruling would be something like a 2 weeks ban for him. But as you may now realize, I didn't intend to punish DeSPA any further.

I tried to be fair to both to you and NW Power and yes my wording from my last post was maybe slightly off, but I just cannot understand, why you did not talk to me earlier.
Is here anyone from DeSPA, who wants to sit down and try to get a solution for this? Is someone willing to leave his current team to join DeSPA and take the captains initiative. Would be bad to only have seven teams in this league instead of eight. :/

You signed up yourself and your team for this team league knowing that it requires the entire team to be present at one specific time due to how the all kill nature works. This isn't like the previous team leagues where players know who they're playing and can communicate with their opponent before hand to reschedule.
You signed up agreeing to the times that was listed in the OP. You and your team didn't show up, you didn't try to communicate to them til the last minute that you couldn't show up. Now you want the other team to find a time where all of their players, are available, not to mention a time where all of DeSPA is available too.

That one is easy, download the rep and check the hotkeys. The truth is though, as you say, either it's a loss because I "played" or it's a loss because I was 45 minutes late so in the end it doesn't really make much difference.

Yes. This is correct.
Regardless of the circumstances that caused it no one from DeSPA showed until 45 minutes or so after the scheduled start. That's really all that matters. I guess technically I could have forced them to start playing at a 3-0 advantage, but I was the only one available to play and made a decision, which is that I was fine with them taking a W.O. If you want to crucify anyone for that I'd be the person you're looking for
While it's obviously much, much nicer to actually be able to play the games and I hope taking w.o. doesn't become a precedent the bottom line is NW didn't really seem to be taking w.o. just to get their win and bounce. They all had places they needed to be and honestly didn't have time to accomadate my lateness on Saturday. From talking to their captain they all have conflicting schedules that would make rescheduling for a w.o. also next to impossible.
That should be everything, just ask if you have further questions and how bout everyone cut back on the hostility and drama and we have a fun second week now!

You are doing fine. I don't like how he blames you for not informing you that the team is inactive. I mean it's not a big problem you with our help would have fixed it.
1+ for your organization keep it up and let's hope somebody picks up DESPA and does several reforms
- Listing the players that are inactive as inactive so that we can find enough active player so that they can participate etc etc.
