Today's games again feature a pair of matches on the new 815 map. As we see more and more of this map it's somewhat difficult to draw an accurate picture of its balance (or lack thereof), since it's style of play can lead to some pretty unique games. In week two of the starleague PuSan[S.G] won decisively over ChoJJa with a cute pylon and forge beneath the zerg ramp destroying his natural expansion leading to a fairly one sided game. So far this is the only zerg/protoss game that's been played.
Yesterday the SKY Proleague all star game was held. It featured 5 out of the 8 players playing in today's starleague games. Will AnyTime bring the iron will 'Zero Bell' style that brutally rampaged GGPlay last week? and walked all over Kingdom in yesterday's all star game?
R-Point is really a map that is a double edged blade. With the tremendous gas available on the map it can lead to some very interesting games also. I guess only time will tell..
R-Point does not have as much gas as you think - the 2nd expansion near your base only has 2500 gas, and the middle half-island ones have only 1000 o_o
map was 815. July was at 7, Rock 2. July did 12 pool, then exp (natural), while Rock quick teching to Corsair. July responded with fast hydra den, and corsa didnt kill single ovi. then July attacked with ~8 hydra and 8 ling, while rock got only 2 zealots on ramp. He started 2 new cannons, and send 12 probes to defense. Rock defended, but was a bit before Zerg.
Rock expanded 12 oclock island, and July 10 and 5 main. Rock had gone zeal/cors/reav, while july had a very large hydralisk army. July dropped 1/2 of hydras on island, completely destroying it. Rock attacked July's nat with 12 zeals and 2 reaver (on shuttle), killing the 1/2 rest of hydras, but the other 1/2 backed and defended. then july attacked with his mass hydra lurk army rocks and Rock typed GG.
I remember when W Player first came out, so many people wanted to live report that threads became distressing to read from all the people reporting at once
It's much better when one person does it, b/c If 94584395 people start to type like "OMG JULY WON" "ROCK LOST" "ROCK GG" "JULY I LUV U" "HAVE MY BABY" the thread gets quite hard to read, and it makes me feel not to visit the thread, and make comments at all.

Some fun fact: All programers with "PARK" as their last names won all 6 games in 815. While, all progamers with "LEE" as their last names lost all 4 games in 815.

These games were great. Reach played the whole game vs Oversky as if he was bashing a noob. Pure art reaver control. Anytime's cheese build was really cool. Haven't seen anything quite like that before. I can't believe he killed all those lings with a handful of dts. Nice.
July vs Rock was standard ZvP gay. July mineral hacked 200000000000 hydras in 10 minutes, How the fuck do these Z players have so many units so fast? Unbelievable.
And Pusan decided to be gay and one base carrier vs a player who he at least matches, if not out classes in that MU. I admit that map is begging for that type of crap to be done, but I didn't expect a PvT powerhouse to be the one to do it. Rock perhaps, but not Pusan.
Oh well, the Reach game was great and I love seeing Zergs get gayed, so overall this week was great.
The Anytime vs Yellow game sounds curious. i want to check the vod to see how he pulled that off. two weeks in a roll Anytime has won pvz with unusual strats.
4/4 Don't know why, but I was with the thought that Anytime would win over Yellow, and that somehow did happen heheh, thx I went with my inside feelings lol I'm somewhat like 9/12 at this OSL liquibet.
the yellow game was really strange. i know i'm not in the position to critisize a gamer like yellow, but in a situation where DTs are raping your nat and nothing prevents them from going to the main you don't have an ovi there? and furthermore he attacked the dts several times with lings, but always just with like 6 of them or sth, which were put to death quickly. i dunno, but if he had saved some more lings and attack with a bigger bunch i think he could have repelled them.

Agreed... I sat there as well with a look of shock on my face with the fact he had no ovie in main... spreading ovies out would've been one of the very first things I would've done, and at least lay down one sunken... I thought Yellow dealt with it horribly... I don't think he was expecting it to be that powerful.
Oh man, I'm devastated by yellow's loss. My favourite player losing on my birthday, oh man, i'm gonna go cry... cause I just whatched that baseball video with boxer trying to pitch, ROFL.
I think the main reason why Yellow dealt with it "so horribly" is that he probably didn't expect his opponent to go 3 gate dt and constantly make them rallying them to his base...haha
Anytime was all-in 100% doing that strat and on top of that...who the fuck goes 3 gate dt and nothing else? hahaha So it was probably 90% surprise factor that fucked yellow up so much.
That's what made Anytimes build so brillient. If you're gonna cheese, fucking do it well and go balls out!
