Some of his "losses" were already decided before he even made a single muta as well ie vs Bisu on La Mancha when he made critical mistake of trying a runby when that is the last thing you should ever be doing 6hat as you really can't afford to remake zerglings like that and it just snowballed from there. (rallied zealots to each base does too much damage, has to spend larva on zerglings that should be drones which delays spire, random speedzealot counter into main that does lots of damage and distracts him from getting spore in time for dt at third etc.) And yet he loses pretty much every time he goes for early fourth + muta first? You know way more about the game than I do but I really can't agree with what you're saying since JD keeps losing like this. His build must work in practice (and therefore he probably thinks it's fine) but he keeps losing in televised games. Hiya said it best, "televised games are different" (and then he made some comment about 4rax not working so he needs to do 5rax instead) and JD is not accounting for that. Therefore the build is probably not the best build for the job. It's far too unstable if it relies on perfect muta control + not stacking lurkers + sniping observers + some other stuff. He's making it way too difficult for himself. I can't remember the last time he lost with a 3 base scourge + hydra first build (excepting Bisu games and all-ins). But I'm probably wrong and I don't know enough to debate this at a high enough level so I'll just stop talking now. | ||
