Its looks like a joke to me but Flash, Jaedong and Kal went to L.A (time lag+ expences ) from korea to play for 7,000 usd dollars IF they win? it dosn't covers their expences and the companies are spending millions per sec to the western tv for the event?
I mean all these months practicing, no time to go out with their frients and for what? Any pro player in korea worth 3 better and 7,000 dollars should get only be there i mean really someone must do someting about that.

I don't get your post. They chose their life as a pro gamer, and the result of that will be less free time with the friends.
Their teams most likely (or some other association) pay for the flights and hotels, food etc. The only expense there is their personal stuff. They are representing KOREA in this tournament not themselves completely.

I'm pretty sure there are companies sponsoring them for this event. It's a free trip to LA with some easy thousand dollars to bring home, what more should they ask for ?
