This is a nostalgic khan line-up. I dunno if they will throw stork into ace match considering all the leagues he's in. If jangbi wins his game I could see him in ace over stork if it goes there.

I'm hoping KHAN can continue to show their "Less losing! Tastes great!" selves tonight; the matchups tonight seem very winnable, though Estro should most definitely not be counted out. Both teams could conceivably take this.
Tonight,I'm also especially rooting for FBH to come out of his looong slump and take out  Action. Hopefully, his benching recently means he's been working extra hard to get back up to speed, lest he be replaced permanently with Turn on the lineups. And if he can pull things together, that means Samsung will have two good Terrans on their lineup (with Miracle as a backup, of course), which would be most excellent to see, and a real boost for the team.
Of course, goodness knows FBH's dissappointed me before...so it's okay if he fails again tonight; I still love you, man. 
Oh, and I am, of course, rooting extra hard for Stork. Syong Byong Goo fighting!

Really's TvP is S class though. The way his vultures were like a counter-unit to Jangbi's (poorly microed) goons today and his mine usage were just amazing, he actually planted a mine in the free spot at Jangbi's nat when he was pylon walling so that the mine would intercept a possible DT coming out. The way he split them was just amazing, he managed to turn vultures in an amazing TvP unit and managed to do so in a completely different way from Fantasy. I seriously turned into a Really fan today.

Factories have a billion HP. Machine shops have less, but they're cheap and still not anywhere near as cost-effective as hitting units or depots.

I kind of agree. Really played well, really well. But Jangbi player really sloppy. It seemed like he didn't micro his force like half the time. Anyway, it was a good game by Really. Would like to see this guy play against Stork.

lurkerling + swarm is pretty good vs mech if you can pull it off. Lings absorb the mines, lurks kill everything while being invulnerable. It's harder against a large number of tanks though.

I think taking the middle is a HUGE gamble. If you can hold it, then you'll most likely win, but if you lose it, you just lose.

Indeed. Reavers are never better than templars. Harder to micro, slower in firing rate. Easier to kill. Flying lost that battle because Stork had more zealots and better dragoon arc. Which made up for his disadvantageous tech tree.

I remember on that map, Stork lost to Shine so I naturally thought he was referring to Shine. My mistake, it does look imba. Funny thing is Bisu beat Shine on this map of all places.

I haven't played with mech a lot on HBR, but on Desti it is still very much viable to just turtle up and slowly, slowly creep forward to eventually take out the side expos (and then the Zerg will starve to death). Not much need for harassment at all.

Temps do an abstract damage, because they don't actually do any damage, only storm. Reavers do real damage, and it can only help to have reavers. If you have reavers, you pretty much have a shuttle too, and gives you the ability to harass, especially useful because the map was outsider... pretty much made for reavers.

When is there ever a situation where you had small army with high templars? You can't even support hts on one base economy. Flying's army was about the smallest as it can get once a player reaches storm tech.

he meant that the templar doesnt have a normal attack, only storm, which doesnt do guaranteed damage. with a reaver you're gonna have little bombs going off every few seconds guaranteed. its variable how much they kill cuz of splash, but not nearly as much as storm, and you dont have to wait for 75 mana to get it.
he wasnt talking about tech, but the shuttle itself, since reavers are essentially useless without a shuttle. templars are just fine walking along with an army so you dont necessarily have shuttles if you focused on hts.

1. Storms are just storms, it works best in clusters, therefore its more optimal in late game pvp. I think he means that in between storms ht can't attack.
2. Not everyone techs to obs really early. If you watched flying play, his obs tech was really late, so its not like his shuttle is going to get there any earlier.
3. In reaver harass, you can most likely keep ur reavers alive. =) Storm drops might kill more though.

That is, unless you're saying that Flying's tech path was in fact not correct and that he should've teched to reavers like Stork. That Stork won his first engagement because reavers > templars.

Go watch the vod baubo. The game speaks for itself. Theory crafting afterwards about reaver > HT or HT > reaver is just pointless. The game quite obviously showed reaver > ht in some situations IF the player does it right. Stork did it right. He took advantage of the window for harass and aggression when templars are not at their full effectiveness yet. He took advantage of the fact that templar tech is very expensive and lacks mobility for a window of time.
All of these things should be calculated into the HT versus Reaver tech discussion.
It's like saying fast hive play versus a lurker/hydra lair play is always hive >>> because if you have defilers then you must have a huge army too. coz nobody gets to defilers without all this other tech/eco etc etc. Do you see how this argument doesn't make much sense? THere are inherent pros/cons in taking specific tech paths. You're adding all kinds of contextual bs into it that are not necessarily guaranteed just because you got a certain tech. Everyone understands that in a late game 200/200 situation HTs are going to be better than reavers. But SC is not a game of black and white, there are plenty of conditional situations and rock-paper-scissors.
That guy was pointing out that normal reaver timings can be better than rushing to HT in certain situations. I see nothing wrong with that statement.

Well I feel that Reavers 'should' be better in PvZ since it can't really be 'sniped' by Mutalisk and it still does great damage and even splash as well. Plus if Z decided to do Dark Swarm, Reavers can still hit the target.
