Can anyone explain why Daezang's first push was able to do so much damage?
I wasn't watching too closely, but it looks like he was playing his fast upgrades build which is already vulnerable to timing attacks. The added dropship play only compounded the vulnerability. I'm guessing Daezang practiced hard to hit the timing window against fast upgrades but didn't expect the drop against him which cut down his reinforcements. Had he not bungled against the drop so spectacularly, I'm pretty sure we'd be seeing a lot of Flash fan tears right now amongst cries of Protoss imbalance.

Yeah the Probe explosion definitely didn't affect the 3 base timing push that he was going for anyway.

Oh wow banned for checking in on Solin's stream, jesus.

Hmm, progamers keep doing that a lot. Running corsairs back to a cannon, then stopping there, letting the scourges catch up when the corsair SHOULD be safe. Real sloppy, seen Jangbi and Bisu do it a few times as well.

Meh, Flash fans like myself have been pretty hard on him lately. Even with this win most of us are left wanting more - if he had lost he would have deserved it.

I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not.

Yes, put that harass on Sashin! Then merge those into a DA and let's put all the theories to test!

It's not uncommon for Flash to get hit by that early timing attack, barely hold on, then bounce back and steamroll with his upgrades finished a bit later. It just looked a bit worse than usual this time, probably because of the dropship investment. Those vultures' mines between him and Daezang's army also could've made a difference. All the probes Flash got instead probably helped him a little in the lategame, but didn't have much influence on Daezang's push since D's units were already built.

Haha I didn't mean it to be sarcasm but I worded it poorly. In my opinion it didn't affect his initial wave (which was already being made, possibly because he planned it and possibly because Flash denied his 4th so many times) that he pushed with.
But of course it had repercussions afterward.
