but anyways I just watched the 3 hatch spire -> 5 hatch hydra vod, great freaking job, really was very informative and useful, even though I already had a decent understanding of the build. now I watched your effort style ZvP vod, great one as well! So uh I hope all that made sense. Basically I'm asking how u scout the zergs tech when giong mech? Like in pvz u do it with ur first corsair but when u go mech in tvz then how? | ||

You cant scout well without scan, thats why i suggested to make marines and acad right after the fac. The scan will be ready for 2 hatch lair hydras; for 2 hatch lings or hydras you depend on your scouting scv and the one you send immediately after (which spots his attacking units) hydras can be stopped with the help of gols. Lings will come earlier so you need a huge wall of scvs protecting the way that leads to your main as well as the bunker which is paramount on any mech build regardless if you have a wall or not. Mutas (or lurkers) will always be scouted by a scan or a lucky vult. Rushes will almost always force gols if you open double cc. If you open with a fac before expo you can get mines before hydras but you may still need gols to defend the expo so dont be too annoyed to change your early game a bit. | ||
