mh great interview
much has been my favourite toss ever since I started properly following korean pro-gaming but I'm liking violet more and more About #18.. that was really sad to read. Even the general talk of the public must be hard on pro gamers (And I mean just think about to how many of them this happens..), but even from his teammates O_O
But then again it could turn into this cool hollywood story, His evil teammates kept on bringing him down but he resistantly fought his way up and then, right when his evil team needs him the most - he leaves them, joins CJ Entus and they win every pro league ever since

Violet has just become my new favorite player

"What would bisu do"... oh man...
Thanks for the translation! Go Violet!
and @ #18.

Poor Violet
Thanks for the translations, Smix.

That's pretty much the feeling I got from watching Violet, that he has the technical skills to imitate Bisu's play and make improvements, which works out very well in PvP as that takes a very linear flow.
The problem is, like Bisu with his PvZ and Jaedong with his ZvZ have said, their understanding of those MUs is something ingrained and almost intangible. So I can't help but feel skeptical about how far imitation can take Violet there.
It's the one nagging thing stopping me from hopping on the Violet train.

Sad to read #18. :/ To hear such things from your team mates ... glad he's doing a lot better now.

Really interesting interview, <3 Smix and all the other translators. You guys are awesome.

Great interview. Between Stats and the socks... wow. Thanks!

Great interview. It's always nice to find that a player you like has a good personality as well. Thanks so much for translating.

Thanks Smix, loved the interview!
I'm glad he could pove them all wrong. He has been playing very good players and showing results. Can't ask for more :p

Very nice interview, many thanks Smix :D

20/20 is so much better than 30/30. 66% the questions, 500% the fun, or something like that. I feel that the next step for Violet is to play the game his way, mimicry has its limits. Anyways, thanks for the translation, I really appreciated this one.

Massive props to Smix for the quick translations. Violet comes across as a typical well mannered progamer. The next 20/20 with Horang2 should be interesting from what I seen in the MSL group selection.

Well I agree with you and Violet is still far away from being S class, but he certainly has a lot of talent and might get there in the future. And tbh I think this "imitation" is a good way of getting there, cause it means he's constantly thinking about what he should do at what time in a certain situation.
