umm you must of totally misread his post. He is asking why his ISP optusnet is still banned from the server, Thus, he is unable to connect to ICCUP because ICCUP has gone ahead and banned the optusnet ISP from connecting, so anyone with optusnet, cannot log onto iccup. He is asking if they plan on fixing that, like they said they would at the end of last season. He was not banned from the forum, his ISP is banned. So I think posting in the technical forum is proper...

Question for Raelcun,
Has it been discussed within the iCCup admin community to make disconnects count as losses? I know some people accidentally disconnect, but I would say that most of the time it's because people want to avoid losses and they know it's a pain in the ass to make complaints and have them solved. I don't think many people would have a problem with disconnects being automatic losses; it would sure help you admins out, as you could get to the real complaints instead of trying to solve piles of opponent disconnect complaints which eat up a lot of your time.

Salv, I agree that disconnect=loss would be a lot easier. It also makes sense since it's your responsibility to provide a good internet connection if you want to compete on an international ladder. However it would punish a lot of innocent people anyway :-/
It could possibly cause a small shift in certain countries' relative rankings (good internet = less affected lol)

I myself am not banned, it was a blanket ban of our isp and until the last few weeks of last season we didn't even realise that this was the case. In the early threads not once was 'banned' mentioned, they were all along the lines of 'unable to connect to iccup gateway, client gets to "accessing account" stage of connection and then goes back to the server selection screen'.
One of the threads even had over 1000 views.
When we started discussing things amongst ourselves in one of the threads in the tech support forums it became obvious that the majority of the people experiencing the 'issue' were on the same isp and that the admins didn't seem interested at all in our problems, but if it was an issue regarding flags or something else mundane they would reply within a few hours.
Anyway, I'll go work on my patience, I was just keen to actually start playing properly again when the server came back up.

If it could still be disputed, maybe. Though at this point disc=loss is pretty much the case. If it couldn't be disputed, then I'd be very annoyed, as I am one of the innocent people mentioned, at least when at school. All last semester I had issues where the server would drop but the other player would still be there. I managed to get some win disconnects marked as wins after contacting iCCup admins (disconnect board), but that was because disconnects were disputable.
BTW Don't be patronizing and say I could have played at home. I was at school all day Monday and Tuesday, and most other days I would end up being too tired to practice properly anyway after school, but I had 3 hours of free time on campus every day.

Hi this is my first post.I was wondering has any1 else run into this lightdarkangel guy on iccup. I look up this players stats and its now 33-0. I played this guy and he rocked my ass both games under 12 mins both times. He was a terran user any idea who this guy is. Does any1 think he is a progamer could this be flash or something just wodner what other people think.

All 33 games were played with no AH, so he could be hacking for all u know. I told him to put ah on he said No so i didnt play him

I dunno but the two issues I hope they fix are Autoreplay not working and the fact that the launcher doesn't close if you right click -> close in the system tray.
It's down again right now, just before I lost a game in a retarded fashion 
One more launcher update it seems.
