yeah honestly everyone, is it really that big a deal that their site doesn't come up until monday. you have your server, you can play games. speaking from experience, volunteer countdowns and deadlines are extremely difficult to keep when dealing with technology. shit always happens and there will be delays. everyone seems to be mad that they have a countdown to nothing, but if the countdown said "countdown to season 7" nobody would be mad at all. it's probably just some unlucky problems coming up at the last second, let's give ICC the benefit of the doubt here.

PS i banned a few people in this thread. if you vented your frustration once or twice we allowed it given the countdown delay, but if you continued being unreasonable and hateful toward the ICC admins, its a ban.

Help please anyone. After i downloaded and runned the 1.15.3 unpatcher byt texas I have noticed that my starcraft doesnt have music anymore. Does anyone know how to get it back? I miss my terran mmusic

i think its pretty unreasonable to ban those people because it's iccup who did that unprofessional thing in the first place. lets ask yourself what would happen if you were about to go a place to countdown for a new year and when the time ticks to 0:00:00 and you see something like "WHY SO SERIOUS" ? I agree that the players should've been more patient with the server but the users had 0 info regarding the delay in the first place so it's absolutely normal to assume that iccup was trying to make fun of everyone

thats why i didn't ban everyone that said negative things, only the really egregious offenders. take a look through the thread and you'll see the two people i banned were being extremely unreasonable and offensive, and posted multiple times even after more information came out about the delays

yes, the icc website not coming out at the end of the countdown was unprofessional, but that doesn't mean people have the right to be douchebags on our forums. the behavior is bannable regardless. it's like if someone BMs you badly on bnet and you came onto our forums and make 20 threads about it. we can still ban you even if you are justified.

(i'm not conceding that their behavior is justified, fyi)

if you want countdowns to have 100% success rate, you must have the content ready to go in advance of the end of the countdown. that means you're sitting on your content just in the name of hype. like "ok everything is ready to go! instead of releasing it now, let's have a countdown!" that's not cool. iccup is awesome. just cuz they encountered some problem here and their countdown was compromised doesn't change anything. what are iccup fans doing reading this thread right now anyway? server is UP gogogo

I think it's like being "a spoiled brat" when i see people complaining so hard about iccup apparently "making fun of them" or not starting the new season smoothly. Honestly, step back and think for a second of how much work they do to keep iccup as a whole running smoothly. I get this image in my head of some kid getting a 2000dollar bike and crying/bitching about how they wanted it green instead of red when see these hate/bitch posts. Makes me sick.

Actually, The whole "Why so serious" thing was planned from the beginning, because I remember seeing it in the code, so idk whats up.
