Due to the popularity of the previous Fantasy MSL I will be running it again for the upcoming season (and the OSL after those preliminaries occur). This is a fantasy Starcraft competition, each of you can choose a team of five progamers who you think will collectively do better in the MSL than everyone else’s team. The winner will get their choice of something cool: a Team Liquid shirt, some random Starcraft swag, cash, or maybe something else. I don’t know yet.
Contest Rules:
There are a couple changes this time around.
1. Each team will consist of five different players. 2. You can spend no more than 10 points creating your team. (explained below) 3. Eneter the contest using the Automated Entry link at the bottom of this post to submit your team. Please do NOT PM me your team 4. The deadline for entries is 14:00 TL Time, December 4, a few hours before the first night of MSL Survivor (which starts at 18:30). 5. Each person only gets one entry. 6. Failure to follow any of these rules may result in disqualification.
There is no longer a restriction of one player of each race to a team. However, be warned that the results from last season are an oddity and it is likely to your advantage to have more than one race on your team.
Below is a list of players including those who have made it to Survivor and the seeds into the next MSL. Each listed player has a point value. You must spend that many points to place that player on your team. You may not exceed 10 points or your team will be disqualified. Their point values are based upon their performance in the previous MSL season. Players who have never before gotten past the MBC Preliminaries cost zero points to be placed on your team.
Yes, there are some ridiculous deals. Though last season these "deals" didn't work out too well for their owners. The best two deals last season were Luxury and Stork. Luxury failed to make it the MSL entirely and although Stork did well, the best teams did not have him on their roster.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will get to them as soon as I can.
A big thanks to SonuvBob for providing the automated entry form for you all which makes things much easier and will save me a bit of time. The entry form enforces all of the above rules. If at any time you wish to edit your team, just go back to the entry form, enter in a new team, and it will replace the previous team you submitted.

True... but I doubt all three of them will place at the top of the MSL. If they do it'd be an awesome MSL, but chances are at least one of them will duck out early. I think it's a good idea to pick just one or two of them hoping you choose the right one or two and then try to guess which other players would be likely to get a shot at the top standings.
In order to win... you basically need at least 3 of the top 4, if not better. the best deals don't always make the best team.

is there some logical reason behind this like seeding? because if not, its clearly best to pick these guys

Picking those guys will get you a very good team and a good result... maybe even great. But it won't produce the BEST team.
None of the players worth over 3 will make it past the quarterfinals imo. But they are worth it because they are already seeded into the next MSL. Players like Jaedong and Flash have to go through MST, which looks tough this season.

How do you know.... it very well could be the best team....
I really think FBH can make top 4 this time, and flash probably won't fail again, other choice was jangbi but changed him to luxury because of the point limit. Stork is pretty much the obvious choice right now for any team, Savior is just too damn unpredictable right now, could´ve picked him instead of Gorush but Gorush seems really promising sometimes, I just hope this will be one of those times.
Anyway goooooooo FBH and Flash, counting on you guys. With some luck we will even see some TvT finals again.
Sadly, I imagine Toss will dominate this upcoming MSL again just based on maps alone. And yeah, you can't pick more than 2 toss and really only 1 if you pick a good one. =p

The survivor schedule is up! Do any of your players clash in the group? Did you get lucky, or unlucky?
In my picks I had both jaedong and skyhigh, they are in the same group. I hope both qualifies. They probably will though. They have to play the constant loser Canata and Jaehoon.

crap, Forgg and July are in the same group But JaeDong and Flash have pretty easy groups though. I expect at least 4/5 of my players to be in the next MSL.
Team name: i dont care (4) free (3) Stork (2) Flash (1) Luxury (0) Modesty For some dumb reason i forgot to put Jaedong in. However. 3 of my favs in this, Stork Free and Flash! Bisu was just too expensive :[ Notice how I am SKT1 fan and don't have a single SKT player on my list. damn.
I wanted to put Leta in instead of Much, but at the end I decided to go with my heart. I also had doubts about JD and his latest results, but meh, I just hope he comes out of his slump soon.
I was actually going to make a team of all (0) point players "just to see" what would happen and how well they'd do. Would be funny if they actually did decent (aka, people ranked below me!)

But maybe next time.
Someone actually did this last time... he didn't do particularly well, but he did not come in last either.
Quick question - obviously we cannot change the teams now, but I changed mine at the last minute and I forget exactly who I picked. Is there any way to see our choices?

Yeah i picked him but i don't care as much about fantasy MSL then the disappoitment of July not making the MSL . I blame freaking Buzyntinum if they use maps from PL this shit won't happen . Just look at the offlines with balanced maps zergs dominated it ...
I hardly think enyone has picked this Bul_T guy or whatever .

Same. My team is identical to 2 others except for July so now I can't win. The best I can hope for is a tie if Calm and some other 1 pt zerg that I forgot loses in MST too.
