한국e스포츠협회는 "지난 16일까지 영입의사를 밝힌 게임단이 없었고, 개별 접촉을 통해 SK텔레콤 T1이 박성준 선수를 영입하게 됐다”고 밝혔다.
웨이버 공시에 대해 지난 10일 열렸던 6차 임시 게임단 관계자 회의에서는 MBC게임의 협조에 의해 16일까지 어떤 게임단에서도 영입의사를 밝히지 않을 경우, 전 게임단과 박성준 선수와의 개별 접촉을 허용해 입단 기회를 넓히기로 합의한 바 있다.
이는 정상적인 영입 절차는 아니지만 웨이버가 무산될 경우, FA가 되는 박성준 선수의 실질적인 입단이 불가능해지는 상황을 방지하기 위해, 전 게임단이 합의해 취해진 임시 조치. 차후에는 현재 제정, 개정 중인 연봉조정제도 및 FA제도를 통하여 이와 같은 사례가 발생하지 않도록 할 예정이다.

'투신' 박성준(21, SK텔레콤)의 목소리에는 자신감이 넘쳤다. 자신이 선택이었지만 '웨이버'로 공시됐던 기간의 불안감은 어디에서도 찾을 수 없었다.
SK텔레콤 T1이 웨이버 공시로 나와 았던 박성준을 영입하기로 결정함으로써 전력이 더욱 탄탄해질 전망이다.
현재 SK텔레콤의 저그 라인은 박태민과 윤종민, 이건준, 손승재, 이승석 등으로 구성돼 있다. 이 가운데 핵심 전력은 박태민과 윤종민이라 할 수 있다. 박태민은 개인전을 전담하다시피 하고 있고, 윤종민은 팀플레이 전문 선수로 기용되고 있다. 박태민은 올 시즌 개인전 2승, 팀플레이 1패를 기록하고 있고, 윤종민은 팀플레이 1승1패를 거뒀다.
여기에 박성준이 가세한다면 SK텔레콤의 저그 라인은 어떤 팀보다도 강력해진다. 박성준은 2004년 프로리그에 첫 참가한 뒤 개인전 24승18패, 팀플레이 22승 16패로 두 부문 모두 60% 가량의 성적을 유지하고 있다. 박태민과 윤종민을 합쳐놓은 선수가 박성준이라 해도 과언이 아니다.
또 박성준의 합류로 저그 라인이 다양성을 갖출 수 있다. 박태민이 ‘운영의 마술사’라 불리면서 독특한 노하우를 갖고 있지만 공격적인 모습이 부족하다는 단점도 갖고 있다. ‘투신’이라는 별명을 갖고 있으면서 공격 일변도의 특징을 갖고 있는 박성준이 영입되면서 SK텔레콤은 변화구 투수와 직구 투수를 모두 갖추게 됐다.
박성준의 합류가 갖는 가장 큰 장점은 경쟁자를 줄였다는 점이다. 박성준이 다른 팀으로 갔을 경우 SK텔레콤 입장에서는 부담스러울 수밖에 없다. 실례로 지난 2월 치러진 MBC게임 히어로와의 통합 챔피언전에서도 SK텔레콤은 최연성이 박성준에게 패하면서 다 잡은 우승컵을 놓친 적이 있다.
박성준을 영입함으로써 더욱 탄탄한 전력을 갖춘 SK텔레콤 T1이 전기리그에서 어떤 효과를 발휘할 지 기대되는 대목이다.
한편 5월 로스터에 포함되지 않은 박성준은 6월13일 이후부터 프로리그 출전이 가능하다. MBC게임 히어로와의 맞대결은 6월16일이다.

지난 7일 웨이버로 공시됐던 박성준은 17일 서울 삼성동에서 열렸던 MSL G조에서 조 1위로 16강 진출에 성공하며 자신의 건재함을 과시했다. G조는 이윤열, 최연성, 이승훈 등 최고의 선수들의 모여있던 죽음의 조로 박성준은 자신의 장기인 강력한 몰아치기로 공격형 저그의 진수를 보여줬다.
"웨이버 공시 기간중에 불안한 점은 없었다. 물론 지명이 안 돼 자유계약으로 풀릴 수 있는 상황이었지만, 그 문제는 생각하지 않고 내 할일 충실히 잘하자는 생각이었다."
SK텔레콤으로 유니폼을 바꿔입은 그는 이번 시즌 목표에 대해 "SK텔레콤을 우승시키는 것이 최대의 목표"라며 "개인적인 목표인 MSL 우승도 중요하지만, 팀의 우승이 최선이다. 팬들께서도 더 열심히 응원하고 성원해 주셨으면 한다"라고 말했다.

they also discussed what kind of effect it would have on the other skt1 zergs like gorush who are known for their management style while he's known for his attack aggression
Also skt1 is changing uniforms and their motto is that although winning individual leagues is great, winning the proleague is the most important thing

Savior, you are gonna have competition soon sucka. OMG I couldn't be happier as a SKT1 fan. Now they just need a management style Protoss -_-;; I'm so happy for not only July but for SKT1.

What's that ? I think Oov and July have a good relationship actually, July has repeatadly mentioned Oov as his rival in interviews.
This will be good for T1, but I think it might kill the Oov - July rivalry. Boxer and Yellow DID play on the same team back in the days(IS) though.

that got me thinking, intotherainbow's by no means a management style toss, but is he still active in T1? what happened to him? i miss his storm abuse and shuttle reaver play.. come to think of it, are protoss players generally not in great demand? not many teams (except KTF) seem to have many high profile toss players on their rosters.

There aren't that many Protosses to start with. Most teams have 1 or 2 they can use, but KTF's the only Protoss-based team, I think?

edit: aw changing uniforms? I liked the T1 tracksuits and shirts; they looked good plus I could see myself wearing it in public without getting weird questions. Oh well.
