I'm not referring to just the korean names. You know that there are ton of nicks that ppl just use cause they need to type something at the moment, like asdf, qwerty1234, etc. I'm just showing that to say every nick is meaningful is so cliched and wrong, and I'm willing to bet that a lot of these horrible progamer nicks are due to the exact same kind of laziness. Why to waste time with something that your fans don't even notice. In Korea progamers are known by they real names and most of the koreans know IDs only of the most known (boxer, yellow, reach ...) pros.

you guys just like reach so you're biased... when you think about it carefully, Reach is a boring name.
I think chrh was a totally crap name, how the fuck do you say that anyway? I believe ChRh is pronounced as "Chogo" - ChRh when typed on a Korean keyboard produces that word. But the commentators usually just called him "Chur-Reh" in an attempt to pronounce his ID as it is spelled. Koreans always type Korean words/names and just leave them in the Latin alphabet, resulting in names like skeghus, qwldsgh, ect, ect. As for Justin being a lame name - I couldn't agree more. I know so many fucking Justins, it's unreal. My best friend's name is Justin. It's not a special name to me in any way. It's lame. Now, Reach on the other hand ... that's a cool name. I don't refer to anyone else on this planet as 'Reach' except for Reach himself.
omfg!!!
justin is a name, so people use it as a name... NO WONDER YOU KNOW PEOPLE WHO HAVE IT AS A NAME...
reach isn't a name, it's a verb, WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU CALL ANYONE ELSE "REACH" Anyway??? IT'S NOT A NAME!!
you = most rediculous logic ever...
someone uses a name.. "OH THAT'S RETARDED COS IT'S A NAME" someone uses a random verb "OMG THAT'S SO GOSU I REALLY LIKE 'WALK' HE HAS THE BEST NAME EVER NEXT TO 'PUSH' AND 'TAKE'..."
WTF?

I was about to edit my post and explain that by this same token, Koreans must think Justin is a very cool name because they live in a country where the population is 99.9% Korean and they all have traditional Korean names. Thus, names like Justin and Casy would naturally be more appealing to them.
To me, a person who lives in a country where every other boy is named Justin, it's a stupid name to have for an ID. Because it's nothing special to me.
Reach is a name that works both ways, for Koreans and foreigners. Koreans don't know anyone in real life named Reach and neither does anyone else in the world. I happen to think it works very well as an ID (and it's not like he chose this name at random, this was during a time when one-word IDs were very popular among Koreans in Bnet, so he went with the trend) but some others may not. But when you compare with Justin, yeah, it sounds a hell of a lot more appealing than Justin (which was my attempt at trying to be funny, but you took it entirely in the other direction)

ID's dont have to be meaningful but it's also important how cool they sound.

Nal is a clan and Keke is:
an expression (typically used by the Koreans; however it is often used by everyone) that suggests extreme happiness or of being in the state of excitement
Example
Fred: What happened to you last night at the party? Bob: KeKe, I got laid, man!

I don't know about Gim Seongje, but I've always associated rainbows with homosexuality. Hence, I think his nickname is incredibly gay.
