Page 23. If I see any more BW vs SC2 debate from that point on you will get banned. |

What if with the slow fall of these Korean exclusive BW teams, we see an increased pushed by KeSPA to reach and international audience and sponsors leading to the formation of more internationally contributing BW teams? The very rigid and relatively isolated Brood War structure may have kept it from being all it can be. Perhaps.....MLG side booth? IEM....side booth? Then let it grow from there. Start small and then have Starcraft together conquer ESPORTS! and all the sadness and tears turn into madness and cheers!
....eh? Jaedong to MLG Orlando, tossing back a cold brewskie with Bisu at Copenhagen, Sharing a plate of stromboli with Stork in Helsinki, Having dinner at White-Ra's with FirebatHero!
Not a realistic option. All of the best international BW players stopped playing. You're not going to get international sponsors without international players. It's why the non-Korean sponsors have moved their focus to other, non-SC1 games (such as the Sony and Stride Gum tie-ins with MLG, or Dr. Pepper). It's been a long time since Coca-Cola or Gillette sponsored the OSL, or Pringles, Reebok, or Pepsi sponsored the MSL. BW's fate, for better or for worse, is tied to Korea.
Also, KeSPA's past bully tactics with outsiders make it unlikely that people are interested in bailing them out. I wonder if KeSPA knew what what happen in the long run with GOM's financial backing and the current state of Brood War if they would have been more likely to support GOM's SC1 efforts. I have a feeling they probably would have worked with GOM if they had to do it all over again, because GOM was making an effort to bring in international fans and sponsors that they lost access to when they fought against GOM.

So sad seeing so many classic teams disbanding T_T

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK TT I mean... I hate to spam.... but FUCK is the only thing that comes to mind at the moment...

so what teams can jaedong realistically join at this moment he cant join cj skt or kt cause it would be to imbalanced he has to be in the airforce to be in air force ace right? so that leaves khan woongjin and stx if he joins woongjin it would probably be imbalanced to i heard so maybe khan or stx?

I was serious and all, reading through the original post and rofled on Flash joke
(Still chuckling)

Wait how the hell am I just reading this now..
Sadly im seeing the end here. What sponsors are going to have confidence to support these teams given the rate of companies bailing on esports?
|
Kinda probs because Sun AKed Oz lol...
The company def. lost its patience.

^^^ OMG, T_T Don't go OZ!

Is Kespa retarded or something? It seems to me they've already identified the problem. The best thing for BW would be to unleash Flash into SC2 and crumble that scene from within.

Wait are there even enough teams to do a proleague season anymore? How many bw teams are left?

Really sad news, 2011 has been so rough on eSports. 3 sponsors to keep 3 teams alive is going to be tough to find. If none are found, I think there will just be 2 super teams dominating from now on. oh wait..

I hope kespa can find new sponsorships for the teams though since it would suck to have such a small proleague.

I wonder how long the players on Oz, Wemade, and MBC have known about this for...
Also, I'm curious as to the netizen comments on this, as well as any comments from the Wemade and Oz players.
So the players are staying in their practice houses until the end of September? What will happen to them after?
