Because everyone plays the same, tired old map pool probably (desti, fs, pyth); something really needs to be done to actually make there be an incentive to ladder on new proleague maps, maybe offer 3x points on them?

If you want to have fun, you can always play Island maps or even UMS maps (I spent 3 years of my life playing nothing but UMSs)
Well, one thing though: The newest version of Skype lags a lot - it consumes a huge amount of RAM by just being idle, and then when I receive a call, I can talk but the program completely locks up. Now I'm using Skype v.4.0, which is better, but still not ideal. Does anyone know if there's a better old version or a different client?

I have no idea about the foreigners. I know the Koreans moved from iCCup because they sought out greater challenge. If the best players leave, everyone else who is interested in becoming really good goes with them. So when progamers stopped on iCCup and went back to Brain, all their followers (semi-pros mostly) went with them. It has nothing to do with the map pool. Brain they actually play MORE Fighting Spirit, Python, Destination than on iCCup.

To keep the team active, I suggest you kick all the inactive players after some time.
Of course, they're more than welcome to rejoin anytime, but I think the atmosphere of the team is directly related to the number of active people in it. Once things become stale, people tend to lose interest.
Anyways, great initiative!

Okay guys! Ive been pondering for a couple of days on how to start with a bang! So this saturday there is going to be a tournament! It will be from 2 pm to whenever so GET ON! haha And i also thought of a small schedule: Monday:Replay talk day- this day we can talk about osl, msl etc etc, or other people's games Tuesday-friday: Training day- this can be either a 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 etc etc. just some type of training and we can improve each other's ability Saturday: Tournament day! sunday: I'm kind of christian so this will be a relaxation day and do whatever we want Is that okay with all of you guys?

Nice, I like the tournament idea, it's a good way to see if you've improved.
edit: Hmmm what is the iCCup channel btw? Thanks

I wanna know when your site goes online. ^^
|
HaTu, iCCup is down for server maintenance for ~2-3 days, so we'd have to use some other server
Options are Battle.net, Garena or Hamachi
Brain and Fish servers I wouldn't recommend due to the language barrier, and I think in either of those servers you need to just chill in order to enter a game [well, I'm just guessing - I've never even tried to go into those two servers]
|
Yeah i realized, so i was thinking about since not all of us can get on WEST or EAST etc etc we'd wait around a week or so until ICCUP is back online. Haha never heard of Garena or Hamachi before... man do i need to learn a lot more. And naruto creating a site and maintaining it is hard work so i was hoping around July or August when I'm in korea i could at least start to work on it. Its going to be a long time before it goes up haha

I know about iCCup, my question was what will be the chat channel we will use
|
ahh well what would you guys want the group to be called?
|
I was under the assumption that we would just be in the op Team Liquid channel. I'm not good at thinking of names but I am okay with just about anything.
