Anyone feel free to educate me. Many of us will appreciated. I specially would like to know about the Chinese broodwar community ~ how many are they? How fast are they growing? Chinese private servers?

It's a Polish server that's 3 year old, most of the community grew up on it.

Still, most Polish tournaments / Clan Wars are played there. Why? Because of the access to the logs = you can check players for duplicate clan membership, check if one player didn't play for another, enforce bans easier etc.

Also if ever battlenet or blizzard goes down ~ its nice to know we dont need them no more to feed out addiction. Gives me a warm feeling.

However the main reason is that many play with no disc cracked versions because in many places 20 to 40 us$ bucks for the discs was just out of the question.

You forgot to mention the fact of allowing to play on pirated versions

A lot of private servers are made by Koreans because foreigners keep invading their west channels. But of course, if you knew what severs they were on you would invade those too. gogogogogogo

Iv played cuple of games on a russian server. Its pretty good, its that nice rating system. And some of the players are pretty good i think.

i tried 2 play on that polish server and ever ytime i won the guy woud disconnect and i'd get a loss so i'm still unratred after like 6 games

I'm racist towards non koreans too ^_^; Oops I'm not korean -_-! Double standards gogo :O I expect the koreans to play me, but I don't play the non koreans.. HMMMMMMMM :D

I think this korean keyboard has gone to my head! (Nah actually, I only refuse non koreans in op hyo-, mostly because they all have id's with either 0-0 or 40-300)

In private channels/neogamei I don't care :o

Lithuania has his own server fortas.ktu.lt too, from the bw beginning .
There play only lithuanians though

i use a pvpgn server whenever I have lans at my house. A neat side effect of the no version checking option is that it allows people on sc to play people with bw! It's really funny, try it out for a challenge against weaker players

Hmm... let's see - bullshit? The game would desync and disconnect the players the moment something is different... since the drone movement algorithm has been changed that would probably mean any zerg game, and since the forge/academy costs + dragoon build times have changed that would mean also quite early with P/T...

It used to work a while back. I couldn't understand why I couldn't make medics. the icon was there but I could not click on it. Turns out I had the SC cd in the drive, not BW.
