There is. Its called "/ignore <player>" though this should be automatic without typing players name.
Personally I have IRC where I chat a lot and chatting in-game doesn't sound interesting at all. SC is for gaming, not for chat. You can even type "gl hf" in the game lobby (as many spam there).
7 out of 10 games my opponent leaves without typing "gg". Do I care? no.

i only gg if the game was actually good (fun) or if its vs a friend (because, well, most of my friends subscribe to the "gg religion" and i dont wanna bother explaining all of this to them)
i will most definitely not say gg if the game was horrible, for example if one of my units glitched and this allowed your cheese rush to work, or i mis-read your build and lost very early or something of that nature
i will also not gg to most people who were assholes up until that point, because i just wont bother, and also because if its a korean he will (usually) be pissed off and it will be funny seeing his self-righteousness display on the channel
call it nerd rage if you will, but i actually think its more stupid to just force yourself to say "gg" when you know it means nothing to you and especially when you know the game sucked, for the sole reason that other people do it

It's like cashiers wishing you a good day. Or waitresses smiling at you. I like it. A bit of fakeness to let the world appear friendly and civilized.
Alternatively, I say it to show my respect to my opponent, whether I lost or won.

I can get pissed of when someone wins and doesn't reply to my gg but usually not enough to act on it in any way. When I win I don't care at all.

that way more BM when you say gg after lose and the other guy ( mostly korean ) dont reply .

and just a fact for fun , after win over 25 korean this season , only 2-3 of them have say gg . 5-6 of them insulted me and the rest just leaved the game .

I don't really care....I got the win anyway so why bother? Right? Maybe the person is pissed on his loss or maybe his g key is broken (which sucks for protoss)..
plus, we've all missed out on typing gg at least once, right? I remember forgetting to do that because I was pissed...

I think I won a game once and my opponent said gg and then I said gg... AND I FUCKING LEFT FIRST.
Re-read what I said... I won the game, but I left first because I have a habit of leaving the game after saying GG.

I can't type gg, because I always rage when I lose. I always think it's me who played bad, and not my opponent making a great game, so why would I gg.

I gg most of the time but i never say gg if i get allined or some wierd cheese or if i fuck up badly. Mostly when I think that the game is not "good".
I never get bothered when someone is not saying gg but when some guy start raging for w/e reason then i laugh so hard that gives me so much pleasure :D

That would only apply if they think like you though.
I always thought it stood for good game... people saw GG and it caught on as compulsary for many and lost its context. You type it if you feel like and actually had a good game/ respect for the effort your opponent put in. There is no "this must be said at the end", It's a computer game over the internet played for fun. If i don't type GG at the end its because i don't feel like it and move onto the next game or whatever i'm going to do, not because im raging inside for losing, i simply don't care enough (which im probably in the minority for  ). I don't expect my opponent to say it but might reciprocate if one is thrown my way.

I'm not easily offended. But you should just say gg when you lose. I've done it for so many years that I just do it by reflex. Sometimes in teamgames I fuck up since it has ac ect.
