Kwanro thumbs down...the map where Flash has had 2 of his only 3 losses to Zerg on this season? What?
I was going to say 'probably because of the length to ling all-in' as a joke, but then I remembered that Odd-Eye is even worse for that. Maybe it goes along with his grand plan to force Flash to practice more maps? Match Point and Fighting Spirit are the only two MSL maps used for Proleague, and Fighting Spirit is also in the OSL so Flash has plenty of practice on it already.
Yeah, its really beyond me why Kwanro didn't thumbsdown Ultimatum or Odd-Eye, especially Ultimatum considering the difficulty in obtaining a third gas (unless he gets fast drop...>.>) I guess I can't question the scheming behind Kwanro's master plan.
Both series should be interesting. Glad that Kwanro thumbed down Match Point
Also MSL managed to arrange the pairing pretty well this season. Jaedong and Flash in the semis paired with Kal and Kwanro respectivel. That should be epic.
1/4 chance of a final with mindblowing potential 1/4 chance of a one sided rape TvP 1/4 chance of a typical MSL final with mid-tier player vs mid-tier player 1/4 chance of a ZvZ
I like Kwanro more than Flash but for the sake of epicness, I'm hoping for a JvF. And hopefully it doesn't disappoint if it happens.

Kwanro tends to solve any map problems with speedlings.

Thank you for the translations!
Kal vs Flash will not be rape. Kal's PvT is nothing to laugh at.
and if it really comes to Kal vs Kwanro, except Kal to completely demolish Kwanro.
unless i have this all wrong, and you meant:
Jaedong vs Kal Kal > Flash Flash vs Kwanro Jaedong vs Kwanro
Holy Hell those are bad maps for zerg. The best one is at 50% ZvT... lol. Flash imbalance + map imbalance = win? Two negatives = a positive from what I recall.

Maybe you meant ZvP? Because none of the maps are even 50% ZvT.

It's worth mentioning that Flash is heavily skewing the TvZ balance numbers on some maps.
For example, Fighting Spirit. Looking at the stats, it's 12-9 TvZ. Why would Flash thumb it down?
Because when you remove Flash's games, it becomes 8-9 TvZ.

....You can also remove Jaedong's games and the map favors Terran again.

No it doesn't. Hinanawi can't subtract. Flash has won 5 TvZ on Fighting Spirit making the record 7-9 if we remove Flash's TvZs. If you remove Jaedong's two TvZs that he has won (Canata and Ruby) on Fighting Spirit, it becomes 7-7, making it dead even.
Even if the numbers might be wrong, the point is that Flash is pretty much the guy whose making the map look extremely unbalanced for zerg, just like how he made Medusa look like a decently balanced map to TvP. I guess he thumbed it down because he doesn't like it for TvZ...I don't imagine Flash liked Medusa or Katrina despite his insanely good performance on those maps.

I meant
JD vs Flash Flash vs Kal Kal vs Kwanro Kwanro vs Jaedong
Now that I look at Kal's TLPD page, wow, he is definitely performing well Kal vs Flash = decent to potentially amazing finals
I'm not sure if Kal would destroy Kwanro. Kwanro did beat Kal a not too long ago and similar to Kal, I think Kwanro is underrated too.
Flash thumbed down fighting spirit so that Odd Eye would be played twice. It's obviously more favorable, to him, then Fighting Spirit. Maybe because early aggression is pretty difficult and macro oriented terran can be really effective (ala Ruby v Effort).

I think mech is really strong on that map because you only have to push a little bit to secure each of four expos either on the top or the right side.
