I'm just wondering if any of our TL.net members are interested in underwater basket-weaving. It used to be real popular back in the day but now it seems to have faded away. Anyone follow the madagascarian championships last weekend? I think the guy in red made a fatal mistake in weaving the bottom part before the sides, it seemed to really have slowed him down substantially. Also, what do you think their APMs are? Whats a good "weave-order" that you guys use? Any insights is appreciated.

This is not really a "sport" or a "game" and i duno where to put it so ima stick it under general.

actualy, if u follow the recent tournaments, people seem to be stumbling on the execution of their technique. I mean, if u saw One-Young Son on his 3 side cut half weave ont he base, that is some true skills, but he oculd have worked ont he ofundation a bit more before progressing to the wall strips. Another thing to notice, is the breath holding enduranec. That guy in red was not only mistaken in his build order, but he took a weak breath before submerging. If u are gonna spend some time weaving udnerwater, you will need a good substantial breath. he was all fumbling because of that and so his basket was sub-par. However, I'm pretty confident that the tournament this week in Lesotho will be quite the rage, the undefeated Mrs. Wilson, with her legendary respiratory endurance as well as absolutely stunning technique and accuracy, will be competing against a formidable panel of athletes including Aditya Kashyap of swaziland.

no dude, Les got it this week, i dont think Wilson can defend her title for another year
dude wtf are u smoking? the guy in red (forgot his name) took a BIG BREATH before submerging underwater, i dont think he had any problems there. i seriously think he shouldve used a 5" needle instead of a 4.5 tho, and maybe .1" thicker, cuz it seemed his needle wasnt able to hold up and it caused several rashes on his hands which led to him slowing down

Umm, I'm sorry, but you seriously need to consider restorative eye surgury. That or get a new TV. He CLEARLY took a measly puff before diving under. You are right about the needle though. The extra 0.5" made his thread margins way too wide. But i htink the main reason he didn't clinch the victory is the breath. Seriously, he was rushing to get the basket done. True, he broke the surface early at 43.72 seconds. But his basket was pitiful. It couldnt even withstand the 5 lb test. And if u think Wilson will be dethroned, you seirously have issues. Any newb can clearly see that her decades of experience and perfected technique will clinch the tournament for her. I'm very worried about Kashyap though. People may disregard him because of his amateur status, but I cant believe that he beat Chao (Y.) by 17(!!!!) seconds. Anyways, i'm sure it will be an intense battle. Also, if any of u TLers wanna watch the big game. It's gonna be on this Saturday on channel 5667 on al-Swahill TV. It's a live braocast though, but if u dont have the Swahill Telecom, u might be able to watch it pay per view form what ever cable provider u have.

Violence, you're fucking stupid ok? kashyap is gonna lose against chao this time, but one-young-son senior has a chance at defeating the chao. have you ever fucking seen the technique that O.Y.S. sr uses? kashyap's kreeshanu style is of no match against OYS's formiddable omniweaver 5.5

and for all you stupid idiots out there, 5.5" ALWAYS beats 5.0" ok? dont even ffucking argue with me about it, cuz in the UBWT, we'll see who's champion. just stfu if you think 5.0 stands a chance.

ok dudettes, chill. everybody is entitled to their own opinion. Im sorry but i think kashyap really has a chance this week. Don't be bad-mouthing the innovative krishanu style vortex-quad weave that kashyap has brought into the UWBW scene. Also, if u havent noticed, his ultra-fast telegu 800+ apm has ensured countless victories for him. If u want to , i'm willing to make a little wager with you ont he outcome of the tourney this week 1,200 rupees says that kashyap will make it into the finals. It's gonna be pretty close with wilson though. But i'm pretty stoked about the large number of UWBW enthusiasts we have here on TL.net. .

ok back to pacifists's questions...

a good weave order is not neccesary if you've got the right style. for newbs, i recommend going for cao 280 witth the four incher, but it depends on how you're going to design the interior. another form of weaving is the renowned VA-H vol. style. although it is a more of a lazier approach to ultimately succeeding, it can have its benefits (for some people) as proven in my this afternoon's session of UBW.

violence, you're on. you think kashyap will ACTUALLY pass though the semi's against DenCao? hahahahahahahahahah you are PATHETIC. thanks for the 1200 rups though man. i swear, kashyaps gonna get wiped out so fast dude, sure, he has his victories, but it wont work on for him this time, hes not gonna keep up the fast speeded pace of uwbwt league 12. fucking DrakeNgg is in that group. GG.

nono, i dont think the C-ao 280 is good, isnt that the style where they waeve from the handle, then the sides, then the bottom? i think its really weak and wont hold up as much weight. (sorry im not very familiar with the C- methods)

Im really beginning to think that the 4.25 incher is good cuz its not as long and clumsy as some of the longer needles and not as stubby as some of the shorter ones.

but yea back to the world championships, i think kashyap might have a 10% chance of making it to the finals - i think it will be between OYS sr. and Wilson.
