I've been in Ottawa for the last 2 years and a bit. The nearest supermarkets to me have been lacking a specific food that I really, really enjoy. Shin Ramyun, to be exact. There are some other ramen available, the best one being Sapporo Ichiban, however, my favourite has been eluding me for some time.
A few weeks ago, I found out about a Korean-owned store that is somewhat nearby, and carries it. I haven't been able to find the time to get all the way there to get some however.....
The closest supermarket to me went through a renovation over the summer. I had not shopped there since last year, and when I went through the expanded ethnic section earlier today, I found this:

5 pack. For a pretty freaking good price too. I could feel a big grin on my face when I discovered it.
And now I've got a bowl in front of me. Egg, a can of tuna, a bit of cheddar cheese, and green onion are ontop because that's my favourite way of having it.

Just curious how much you paid for that - its (US)$5 at the Korean market I get them from.

Boil water with sauce mix and dried veggies in it. Put the noodle block in it and cook it for about 2 minutes, put the scrambled egg in it for 1 minute, stirring 3 times in that minute. Immediately put it in a bowl, put the tuna in it, stir it, then the cheese and green onion right on top.

dude your in ottawa? The new T&T on hunt club is the place to go for anything asian. Just careful parking your car, it's packed full of the most terrible elderly asian women drivers. They definitely have that package there, I've seen it. I normally go there to load up on bags and bags of edamame beans

Please test APM before and after consuming Shin Ramyun. Maybe that's the secret to SC2 success.

I know I can get it cheaper in chinatown, but I don't have any other reason to go there, and I really don't feel like going that far for it.....
PS, the korean place that has the big packs that I know of is actually near your old flat lol.
PPS - I'm actually a ~240 lb white guy.

I have that too! I find it a bit spicy, since I have to add all these other random sauces as well. Still tastes awesome.

It's so easy to find this in Toronto.
By the way, I believe their nutritional facts list when you put the ENTIRE bag of seasoning in it. I can hardly handle 1/3 of that because I find it too salty to have anything more in it.
