So uhhhh, saw lilsusie post that she sent emails to the new SKT1 shirt contest winners so I head out to msn and uhh, unable to open either my main or alt account.

Oddly enough aim/steam/tl.net/other forums are working fine, but I can't log on to msn nor check emails through hotmail.

help? QQ

Edit: since there's so many users stalking but not posting I guess I'll provide more information.

I use aMSN 'cause Windows Live Messenger refuses to install on my computer (says it's already there so it aborts everything)

Before logging out of aMSN I got an email from Blizzard about one of my old WoW accounts (which I couldn't care less about because I haven't played WoW in nearly a year) where some random fluffyanonymous@live.com or something like that was trying to take the acc over. I logged on there and changed the password just to be sure.

My SQA fail because a) my main account is like 8 years old and I don't even remember putting that question b) I'm not sure of my alt account's answer and busted the limit already trying to figure out the answer

tried accessing it from another pc/location? could be a problem with your internet or on msn's end. If your msn accounts have been breached than consider all your other accounts breached too. First thing to do would change all those accounts passwords & recovery emails from a different pc (that's not infected).

It seems like you don't know what you're doing computer-wise. Any virus or keylogger could try to disguise itself and you'll be fooled.

You're probably better off just backing up the data and reformat to prevent your infos from leaking to others.

pretty much yeah. the random blizzard e-mail before everything stopped working kinda got me thinking that way. that and the fact it was like 1am when it did that. >_>

Well since you posted more information, it is fairly certain you've been hacked. You'll definately want to change the passwords & recovery emails for all your accounts, BUT do it from another pc or else they'll just get the new passwords. Then fix your pc either format or remove the malware.

Contact microsoft regarding your msn accounts if you don't have the secret question, sometimes they help in situations like this but there might not be a lot they can do for you.
