To be honest, I think laptops are akward for StarCraft in the fact that the keyboard is so thin. Unlike with regular keyboards, the buttons do not press as deep. For that reason, I imagine you can not be as certain that the command registered when playing at quick speeds. Plus, mouses with USB cables sometimes suffer due to performance issues.

if u can get hold of ur cd key, use mini broodwar. its a USB vresion of broodwar (that works with bnetif u have a legit key). old comps can play sc

playing on a laptop for the first time was hard for me because the keys are smaller and the f1-f12 keys are really really small and right next to eachother.

It took me a month before I could use it like I could use a regular keyboard/desktop, and still I'm not quite as sharp on my laptop
