first off, THERE IS NO CONTRACT IN THE RESERVES, meaning you get the life experience but can quit the day you realize your a pussy, second, As a reservist you don't just get deployed, you HAVE TO ASK and will 9 times out of 10 be shrugged off, unlike the states, Canada has much less soldiers in Afghanistan and for that we only send our best soldiers (dah) third, the army WILL pay for some types of education just ask your recruiter before you join if its covered? fourth, the reserves is a great thing to put on a resume..  dahand last but not least, USUALLY training is kept in your own province, but even if it isnt, you'd probably go to Wainright (idk if i spelt that right) for training, and the army pays for your transportation, to become an infantryman, (and there is infantry groups in BC) http://www.army.forces.gc.ca/39cbg/content_e.html that would be your brigade, 3 courses must be completed to become a soldier; BMQ, SQ and BIQ each for reserves about 3 weeks long, you are payed throughout the whole ride, the reserves is a BIG life changing decision don't join if you arn't ready | ||
