I am without a doubt that organizations of individuals voluntarily contributing to a cause would be supremely more effective than any governmental operation. When you plead with the government to follow your course of action, you plead with it to give you special privilege. But why is your course of action better than mine? Because more people agree with you? Does that make it morally right to force me to follow your course? If the popular idea of the day was to support the warlords in these areas, and this was the thing so many people were lobbying governments for, would you be so happy to allow majority rule? If wanting fairness and less "looting-behavior" out of my government means I have no testicles, then so be it. | ||
