Welcome, readers! If you sat through my last blog entry to the end, you'd last remember I wrapped up by describing my epic journey through the world of SNES Zelda. Tonight, I think I'll touch upon one particular game as a sort of bonus SNES game mention. I feel I would do everyone in the SNES rpg community injustice if I leave my memories of the legendary 90's console without mentioning the incredibly amazing Super Mario RPG!
I came
To begin, I have to mention that SMRPG has incredible graphics for a 16-bit console game. Compare any other SNES game to SMRPG and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Also, supporting the outstanding graphics comes an eye-pleasing mix of colors that finishes the icing on the cake.

One of the many examples that testifies to Super Mario RPG's graphics.
The graphics are great, but that alone adds but one ingredient to the pot. I feel confident when I say that even the graphics come second to the pure simple fun while playing through this game. SMRPG takes the player through a linear plotline (Go to point A, accomplish this, then go to point B, accomplish that) with occasional side quests. However, when the beauty actually lies within a game's simplicity, the game already stands out. At least, in my book that's true.
Unfortunately, I'm not very good at articulating my points. I hope these pictures help describe the words and emotions I cannot express.
Honestly, I feel like I'd do an extremely poor job of praising this game should I attempt to continue on with Super Mario RPG. If you hadn't played this game before, I strongly, STRONGLY recommend you download zSnes emulator and play this on a ROM. For me, it's just one of those games that, once played, makes a special place in one's memory forever.

Yeah, I think this is the one of best SNES RPG, and with competition like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy 6, and Link to the Past, that's saying something. This game is absolutely amazing. It's very rare when a game is just this damn good. Seriously, it's impossible to do it justice verbally; just find a way to play it.

WHOEVER HASN'T PLAYED SMRPG IS SERIOUSLY MISSING OUT.
I DON'T REMEMBER HOW MANY TIMES I BEAT THIS GAME. I ENJOYED EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME.
