So 2 days ago i recived my 50$ bonus for full tilt poker. I have had some experience with poker by playing play money before, but the moment i got into real money stakes i noticed it just was a completly different game from play money.
Either way, i already had a good idea of how to play poker, because i've read countless times the articles at liquidpoker.net and i've talked to players who do play real money.
So i started playing on the lowest stakes possible, which were NL10. The first day i was successful and won about $5 .
Yesterday which was the second day, i was doing good, winning up to $14, before losing $19 at the end of the day (end up with $45).
I realized i had lost because i started playing loosely and because i started getting desperate because when i got good cards in the hole everyone folded so i only won the blinds.
Today i woke up and decided to play tight, with discipline. I lost $10 really fast at one table ( i was playing 2 tables at the time ) to lucky hands. I lost 2pairs AK vs his 3 of a kind the first time, and the second i lost KK vs JJ which ended in A T J 9 2. I was about to quit then, but i decided to give one more try at such table.
I was doing good at the other table, being up $5. It took me 2 hours and a half to recover my $10 lost, and finally i won $5 in the following 15 mins.
I decided to quit and ended with $51.15 ( $1.15 above my deposit ).
I never thought that real money poker was as hard. Maybe im just a bad player, or need more time at the tables, but i had fun. I hope to get more experience fast, so i can move up in stakes. I would feel comfortable making little money daily, because its just for fun.
peace out

you shoulda deposited to stars or some site with micro microstakes like stars where you can play .01/.02
i'm pretty sure if you've never played at stars you can get a deposit bonus from them too so i'd look into that.

You're doing fine. You won't win money at first because it's hard to get used to it but just keep practicing and keep analysing your play. Every hand you play makes you better at the game and if you're not losing money right now things can only get better. Just stay tight.

You'll play thousands and thousands of hands before you'll start earning any real money. You need to educate yourself a lot, analyze your style all the time etc. It's nowhere near as easy as everyone seems to be making it look. The painful truth is that if you want good results you need to put in a lot of work and effort.

I know that, read my poker blog lol.
rts were in this together!! MAKE SURE NEVER TO FUCK UP. just play solid and when you have pocket aces and there are 3 diamonds and you have no diamonds dont go all in..
But your smart with the 5 dollar buy ins, its the way to go.
Play three tables at once, you can make alot of money i was once up 50 bucks TT

You should probably play on stars at play at either nl2 or nl5. Better learning experience than starting at nl10 imo.
