I generally like to decide what I listen to myself, and not be influenced by what radio plays or what music people I know listen to. I don't know if what I just said really means anything or has a point, but I'll just post it. and isnt Disturbed nu-metal? Kinda like Linkin Park, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, and that sorta stuff... | ||

This new album is amazing. Disturbed is still pretty cookie-cutter and clean around the edges, but I still love them to death. Each record evolved their style to new levels. The melodic new riffs and poetic new lyrics are simply great. I love the new album, and am already in the process of learning the new songs. =D | ||

The reason i say its shitty is because its that "nu-metal" genre. basically what that means is that HUGE record labels have sold them out and they influence the music too much. They make them sound like their "best" song. Sure they have musical talent but the fact that they just take the major record label's shit and give in means that they lost some originality. Which sucks.. of those "nu-metal bands" the only good one is linkin park because they were so original back in the day. they still know how to play guitar, just lack originality and cool lyrics. | ||
