read: I lost my glasses.
I left them in the bathroom counter yesterday when I woke up late for math and was in a rush.
I went for the bathroom and I put the glasses down to the left near the hand dryer and washed my face w/ a tower and left w/o pick them up again. 8am that was.
When I got back they are GONE.
I looked everywhere for them, my friends say they saw it around 9am at the counter as well so WTF who took them!? I checked lost and found, I checked the cleaning lady who told me in her outrageous accent "we no touch, we no touch nothing."
UGH!
This is extremely gay cuz I had to literally hop around my discussion session since we have multiple boards all around the room and I cannot see wtf is going on unless i'm w/ in 3 meters away from it.
So... what do I do now? I know in the long run I can get a new pair or by god chance find it, but in the short run?

My eyes are not too bad so I am not running into walls at the moment, thank god.

Yeah family and I are thinking some kind of eye surgery. But my glasses saved my eyes many times from debreis or what not bullshits so I am rather fond of them.
Man.... I better get going.

- ur alternative is go to lenscrafer type shop, u know 2 for the price of one, 1 hour deal.. but it's at least twice or thrice as expensive

Drive an hour down to Fremont and you can have mine that I never use. Except I only have prescriptive lens on the left side, so you'd be blind still in one eye. You can heave the middle off and have a monocle =).

Long term: If you can't find them buy new ones. but make sure you go around every single lost and found/person you might come across. glasses are expensive so it's no joke when somone loses them.
Short term: Since you're unable to see the board clearly ask someone if you can copy their notes instead of working harder than you were.

You know ... I was cleaning my glasses while walking in the halls last Thursday and damn, my vision is horrible. I don't think I can live without them. GET A NEW PAIR :D

I guess I'm just so used to my horrible vision that I'm at the point where I feel fine both with horrible vision and glasses vision. I can even take off my glasses in short intervals during driving to wipe it clean sometimes, albeit, on roads I know very well.
For those of you who like evan who have that bad vision...is everything around you literally a huge blur? Without my glasses, my hand is blurry even within a foot of my vision, but I can still somehow make things out without feeling like I'll bump into things randomly.

My eyes are not that bad, but going from wearing glasses to not wearing glasses is like wiping mud in my eyes. If your eyes are this bad, how could you forget your glasses? Did you not notice you were blind when you walked out of the bathroom?

I'd be glad your eyes are as good as they are. If I lost my glasses, I wouldn't be able to post on TL for advice, because I wouldn't be able to see my computer screen.

you must not have been wearing em long man, cause seriously, i instantly tell the diff between when my glasses are on and not on, and my eyes arent too horrible.
