EPTSecond Chapter
After arguing a little, you both agree that going to the police station might be better idea than high school; after all, high school have too much easy food for zombies, and its crowded enough so a zombie outbreak would be very likely if one of the easy preys were to be bitten.
You leave the hardware store with haste, heading towards the police station. Hopefully you’ll find survivors there.
You go down the road when you witness a group of people about to be surrounded by a group of zombies. You think for a moment and decide you should help them, but Rodrigo thinks you’d rather head for the police station; after all, you’re two guys with sharp sticks against a horde of zombies. Oh man you wish you could help them.
When you arrive to the police station, you find that it’s empty. There is blood however, and signs of battle. You feel safe enough to yell if there is anybody alive. You hear nobody answering back. So you and Rodrigo go deep inside the police station, trying to find a weapon rack.
You open a door, and you hear a shot. Next second Rodrigo’s leg is bleeding, and he’s on the floor. What the fuck? You yell “Stop! Stop! We’re alive!!”. You finish opening the door and you see a cop pointing the gun at you.
-STAY BACK!- the cop yells.
-Hey easy asshole! We’re looking for help here!- you say.
He shoots at your feet, but he misses.
-DUDE WHAT THE FUCK?- you say
-You’re zombie food, I wouldn’t risk you turning into zombies and attacking me, go away!-
You quickly shut the door. Fuck man he’s a fucking psycho. Rodrigo is still hurt bleeding in the floor. You need to find help quickly. You improvise a tourniquet to help him. You’re bloody scared. You help him and get him to the car, and tell him that if any danger arises, he rings the claxon, you’re going inside the police station to find weapons.
You’re alone now. As you go inside, you hear the previous survivor yell: “WHO IS THERE?”. You answer. You hear again: “OH GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE, OR I’M KILLING YOU!!”. Man he’s crazy, shit. You run a bit trying to find anything useful, but you’re unsuccessful.
You open a door and see the psycho. As he sees you, he shoots you, but misses. “YOU’RE NOT GOING ANYWAY LITTLE FELLOW”, he says. Now you start running for your life. As you’re trying to find your way out of the station, you hear the claxon of your car. Rodrigo is having trouble. You see the exit door… crowded by zombies. Oh no, deep trouble.
You have a fucking psycho at your back, and a zombie crowd infront. There is no way that you’re getting through the exit, and you hear the psycho’s yelling behind you. So think quickly and decide that if you could lure him into the zombie crowd, you’ll distract zombies enough time to make your escape. However that’s risky, and you might get shot by this fucking dude OR get bitten while you run past the zombies.
However there is another option: at your left you see a stairs and a sign “Maintenance”. You don’t know where it leads, but it might lead to an escape route. The problem is that you don’t have much time left, as zombies are amassing on the outside of the station, and Rodrigo is hurt and can’t do anything to run. Only the safety of the car protects him temporarily, because sooner or later the zombies are going to surround the car and smash it until they break a window or something.
Luring the psycho and making your way out seems the fastest way to get into the car before it’s too late, but it’s pretty dangerous. The stairs might lead to an exit in a safer way, but you don’t know if they actually lead to somewhere you can get out, so you could waste your time and be unable to help Rodrigo. Time to make your choice:
