I feel like this season was pretty weak with the exception of the Cat in the Wall episode. That was absolutely hilarious. It's like a more vulgar and racy version of Seinfeld. I was a big fan of Seinfeld and a huge fan of Curb your Enthusiasm right now and Always Sunny is on the same level as those shows. *with the exception of this season unfortunately. I think these shows have the same exec producer. Something like that, too lazy to look it up on imdb as to what role it exactly is. But yeah Sunny is definitely the most underrated show on TV right now. Anyone see the Christmas special? So, so good.

This season has had some great episodes, like the intervention episode and the roadtrip. Sooo funny.

I thought the cat in the wall episode was by FAR the worst this season. The only funny part was when Dennis and Mac were talking about Predator. The rest felt very unusual and hastily put together compared to normal episodes.

I completely forgot about the roadtrip one, that was freaking hilarious. I can't seem to remember any episodes before the wrestling one, which I thought was the weakest one of the season. Plus, I still thought the season was decent, but nothing compared to the previous ones. On December 06 2009 00:07 Ganfei wrote: I thought the cat in the wall episode was by FAR the worst this season. I thought the part when charlie and frank were talking about how to get the cat out of the wall was hilarious.

I'm glad it didn't get canceled, I couldn't bear it after Arrested Development.

1. It wasn't written by Charlie/Rob/Glenn so my expectations were lowered from the onset. They always do 2-3 episodes with guest writers and they are usually the worst in the season 2. The development with Dennis and his old highschool gf is bound to have hilarious consequences 3. Mac/Tranny relationship is one of the best in the series 4. Product placement doesn't bother me in the slightest in fact the harshest criticism i hear is about the product placement. i don't understand why it bothers people at all. who cares if they're eating at subway or some fake ass "submart" sort of restaurant. if you can't enjoy a show because the restaurants they attend and the beer they drink exists in the real world then you're a moron. it was a mediocre episode by sunny standards but I can tell the season is gonna get a whole lot better. i think the episode was perfect to just set up the rest of the season.

Yeah I'm not too worried. I do think season 1-3 held a higher standard than 4 and 5, but as you said the guest writer episodes are definitely not the best ones. There were some good moments in e1 as well though. ![]() edit: I thought this was in general, pointless bump :<
