EPTBefore I had to pack for University of California: Berkeley (AKA 'Cal') family and I went to Crater lake. Most impressive feature of crater lake is these flies, they bombard the surface with eggs, maggot eat on the bottom, and they mature into a puppa, then they chemically produce a little pocket of air so they float back up to break into adult flies!
Anyways we went home, packed, I took some pictures of my wall, my cloths, and off we go.
Oh yeah did I mention those incredibly awesome fluffy ball plants? Like Dandylion but not.

Cal reception is pretty fluid, cnosidering all these people entering. I live in Spece Black Hall of Unit 3, so if you go to Cal pm me we'll lan party or something. View isn't too great, just another dorm across.
I put my fairy shrimps that I collected from a park pond in a little tank w/ some weed and sat it under the sun, kinda like a pet I guess. Put my cloths away. First day was uneventful in a way, some hall meetings, bit of social with our Resident Assistants(older students that help out in the dorm), ect ect...
Monday woke up bit late, checked around and found out I didn't pack my laptop charger, optical mosue, soap holder, and bunch of other shits. Wrote thoswe down on a white board and I'll have to go back to get them on weekend, I live close by.
At 12 i went to this Frat house to do an interview for a scholarship, they're pretty chill, played fool's ball with one of those brothers, nice bloke. They cooked burger afterwards so they invited us to stay and ate those, nice.
Made a Gardner Dragon then, put it on a shelf where it shall guard my room.
In the evening of Monday was a free Rumba and ChaCha lesson, so I went to that and had much fun, met this australian exchange student, ect...
Called my chinese friends and went through what the college is like so far, found out you can text message internationally, except I cannot read chinese characters so they had to use some english. :D
Tuesday went to Target, bought a telephone, a drawer thingie rack, nothing major. Roomate bought 2 pillows cuz he forgot. Cooked Raemon noodle in the room, no fridge yet so can't make anything fancy on the Raemon preperation thread T_T. Registered computer for Internet in a rush with 1 hour of battery life left.
In the afternoon I happened to past a revolutionairy bookstore, volenteered to spread the seeds of communism revolution. Went in, argued with a girl in charge. She's so sure communism is amazing. I was locked in an argument when 2 bums went in the store:
Bums "Hey u got a spare change?"
I "Ask our good comrade over there, she'll give u a buck in the name of communism."
And so with that I left the shop.
Night dancing lesson again, a review on Chacha and a new one on Salsa, alot more people showed up for this lesson, so it was held on a big room. Salsa had some fancy moves that I liked alot. Saw this incredibly hot girl but she had a pinch of coldness in her face/manner so I did not ask her to be my partner.
Wednesday, woke up around 8 because I need to go to this Engineering Orientation. It was bit boring really, huge group meeting, then smaller BioEngineering meeting, then advisor counsiling, the usual. I met up w/ a friend from my HS and I went to her dorm to check it out, since it's on the hill side and I've never been there before.
She brought this pepper spray with her and I was really interested in the pepper spray! I took it out of a lether jacket and I said 'hey can I try it just once?" I thought it is a hydrolic squirt system, I held a napkin on my hand and I gently pressed the trigger.
'PHOOOM!'
so that crap was actually 'pressurized'... I discarded the napkin and there were these red liquid all over my left hand. Out of curiosity I licked a TINY speckle of red liquid on my finger.
It was the most intense taste EVER. I'd never thought red hot chili pepper could be so... rly no other word for it... FUCKING DAMN HOT. I immediately started to salvate like mad so I went to the restroom and washed my hands and let rinsed my mouth and let it salvate some more to flush the spice out.
At the Engineering reception I met a dude I met online (Cornell's information chat session when we were thinking applying there) but never seen, we got along fairly well, and kept making jokes like "Hey this is Lei, I met him at an online chatroom."
After that a horrible hair cut from a Korean woman that does not speak well english. She gave me a picture book w/ guy's hair styles, and said "You pick picture okay boy? You pick picture, simple, I cut" I picked one that does not look like me but closest resemblence, she cutted that, horrible.
Ate healthy dinner, salad, a soup, and some suishi. The cafe food isn't nearly as bad as I thought.
Dancing again, Waltz and Tango tonight. Waltz I liked alot because you get to turn and turn and it looks really fluid, my partner was really pretty too(I guess it's the hair or something, when I held her to waltz I felt her hair on her shoulder, and iono, I was really confident with her too for some reason, not nervous at all and just doing the lead and sometimes squeezed her hands and say stuff like "Hmm almost we can do it!" shits like that), and she's physicsEngineering major! OMFG! I was getting very hopeful to get to know her better but then
"I'm tired"
"Why"
"I had to run all the way to Foothill"
"Why?"
"My boyfriend is Sick"
So yeah that didn't go too well T___T Fuckzors! But at least now I'm more hopeful because there are at least some descent looking girls entering as freshman. My hopes were low because my floormates are all plump and ugly as hell, nice people though, good friends.
So after that there's this Greek Festival, made a tie dye shirt, ate a slice of pizza, and that's about it. Went back watched bit southpark on the lounge, played an epic taboo game:
Person: "Ready? Go!"
Teamate: "Um err... when you're little, your mom tells you not to do it"
Me: "MASTURBATION!!"
it turned out to be thumb sucking
Taboo game got interrupted when some drunk girl went back from Frat party, and our resident assistant had to report her ect...
Went back to dorm,
roomate: "Your pets are roasted"
I: "eh wtf?"
roomate: "you left them in the sun too long"
I: "Ahh this smells bad now... I should chuck it."
So down the garbage my fairy shirmps and weed collected from Crater Lack's bank went. T____T
OKAY that's enough I should sleep asaply and crapload of stuff to do tomorrow! I will try to keep a daily update because too many things going on, you see how I forgot most of Monday and remembered mroe of Wednesday! Good Night!
