HAPPY MAY.
I hope you're all doing well.
April flew by for me, and I finally have some time to upload a bunch of food photos (and maybe some esports). Be prepared for a crapton of photos...
PART 1: BOSTON
Earlier in April I went to PAX East in Boston. This was my 2nd time going to PAX East. :D My first time I was on booth duty (T___T) for another company... This time, I was attending to check out some activations that my company did. YAY.
Here's how it went:
+ Show Spoiler +
FIRST, because it was snowing in boston (wtff), my flight was delayed 2 hours out of SFO.
So I ate burger and fries from Gott's roadside for breakfast... because I'm so healthy.
I used to work near a Gott's Roadside in SF, but I never ate there just because the line was so crazy. :|
Trying to make myself feel better by having a rum punch on the flight LOL
When I finally got to Boston around like 10pm, I met up with a friend to grab Korean food... We ended up going to like this k-bar lol. We ordered way too much food, but we got this big ol hotpot:
View from my hotel!
The quiet before the storm.
Like 45mins after the doors opened on Saturday.
More convention madness
Dash of esports
Since starting these travels, I've made it kind of a mini-tradition to stop by an aquarium. Here's some feathered friends from the New England Aquarium :D
ALSO LITERALLY THE DREAM:
- LOBSTER ROLL
- BEING IN BED
- ESPORTS ON LAPTOP
- RE-RUNS OF FIXER-UPPER
- COMFY PAJAMAS
me and the cupcake from Pit People (which is a super fun game btw)
One of my shitty snaps from the flight back. :') It was like a 6.5hr flight.
That was basically my trip in a nutshell.
PART 2: SEATTLE
This was my 2nd Call of Duty World League trip and my 1st time in Seattle as an adult!
My parents took me to Seattle when I was a toddler, but I don't remember anything... So it was like a brand new experience anyway :D
+ Show Spoiler +
I was too lazy to go out after I landed, so I just ordered room service.
NY strip steak, chowder and bread.
>_> The chowder was too salty for me though.
The following morning I went to Storyville :D
DAMN THEIR SHOPS ARE SO CUTE.
My hotel was right near Pike Place :D
Through very thorough (aka 10 seconds of searching) yelp research, I found a place called Doughzone in the International district.
They had dumplings.
And a silly name.
So obviously I was down.
XLBs <3
Spicy wontons :0
FOOD FOR MY FACE. (also this is the face of like 4 hrs of sleep yaaaaaaaaaay. coffee is a good replacement for sleep right?!)
yay gyro
I woke up at like 9am, got coffee, and then headed over to Pike Place Chowder.
There was a line already like 30mins before the store opened (at 11am). Thankfully, they were pretty quick and I only had to wait till like 11:30 to get my chowder.
IT WAS WORTH IT. omfg.
Sashimi and a roll from Japonnessa :D
Surprisingly good take out from a vietnamese place near my hotel.
I was told to come here. I AM GLAD I LISTENED.
I got the Hot Mess Bitch -- biscuits with grits, eggs, louisana hot link sausage, and jalapenos.
I ended up adding habenero sauce to it SINCE IT WAS NOT SPICY ENOUGH. aaaaaaaaaaahh
wild boar terrine and a MEAT SALAD from a butcher shop called Rain Shadow Meats :D
Tasty teas!
Coffee...This time, from Top Pot.
coffee...
And coffee...
And coffee... (nitro cold brew)
And blueberry ginger beer :D
OK, actual esports:
dis entrance tho
Before the broadcast
First main stage match of the day.
Since the two popular teams (OpTic and Faze) playing their matches off mainstage, most of the people were hovering in that area.
And that was Seattle!
I'll be heading out to LA for E3 and CWL Anaheim next month... CWL Anaheim is the weekend following E3, SO I GUESS IM IN SOCAL FOR A WEEK BYEEE.
If you're heading to E3 and wanna say hi, let me know :D
'TIL NEXT TIME
BYE TL <3
