Hi again!

As I mentioned in my last blog my passion and life joy is back for real!

This is how my first lager turned out, the taste is not fully evolved yet! Hopefully one more week in flasks will make wonders

Second brew on the way aswell, this time it´s Ale time with Amarillo hops and some Cascade hops. I havnt got much equipment yet but I manage with simple stuff

This for example is how I cool down my beer before fermentation(using the bath tub and lots of ice brought from work)

Micro & Macro Ale, version one !

Two weeks from now I will be able to taste it. And if it´s great or overall decent I will post the recipe and a "how to brew beer with retarded equipment and esport passion, guide)

oh dang I never saw your other thread and ive always wanted to homebrew. It's pretty easy stuff right?

That is awesome. I'm a big fan of Amarillo hops and made a really tasty IPA this past summer with some.

And if you think your equipment is basic, mine is even more so! You would be surprised how much you can do with so little. I found that for my hoppy ales that they really needed 2 to 3 weeks of bottle conditioning minimum before they were really good.

And this reminds me, I have some brew in the basement that is probably ready to be bottled this weekend

It can range from very easy to complicated depending on what you are trying to do. I mostly do extract brewing and use prepackaged dried yeast, so it is really not complicated at all. The moment you start doing yeast starters and all-grain brewing it does get more complicated (although you have a lot more versatility in terms of what you can make). Most people can really start doing extract to find out if they like it before they invest more in equipment needed to do all grain brewing.

awesome. brewing your own beer is so cool. i wish i did it more but sanitizing everything is such a pain

I tried some local homemade brews a few months ago. They had like 5 different flavors, from very strong and with a very specific taste to an accessible weizener-like beer. It was so much fun to try stuff I never tried before.
