After 3 years, I'm back playing SC2. I haven't had much time for games these days since grad school keeps me insanely busy, but I just downloaded HoTS and started playing again.
Instantly on playing, I got a rush of affection for this game, and for Broodwar, and the days that I used to follow the scene, followed by some nostalgia for the days when I would play the game every day (sometimes for hours), and strive to always become better.
I'm 3 years older, and I'm now (supposedly) an adult. A lot has changed for me, but SC2, even with HoTS, hasn't changed even a little. You know how I know? My first 1v1 opponent was a random into cannon cheese.
It's good to be back.

you came in a good time. Most of the morons have left the scene.

Welcome back, Arrian. And best of luck for grad school!

If you came back a couple weeks ago, you might have got 6 pooled by people wanting to be on Funday Monday.

Congrats. I myself hopped in for a couple games and it's funny how ingrained the mechanics are in my fingers. My mentality, my timings, my gamesense, might be dull or nonexistent...
But my fingers remember. I suspect they'll never forget ^^.

But my fingers remember. I suspect they'll never forget ^^. Same for me! Due to college, I'm also restricted to some casual outbursts of playing SC2, and even if my build orders are terrible, my mechanics are still kinda there. It's like riding a bike. You might not be able to perform nice tricks after a long break, but you won't fall on your face either.
