 . Copying is always a good idea, if you say where you copied it from. I suggest you study Andrew Loomis, Burne Hogarth, James Gurney, and classical oil painters, try to see how they solve forms and color without the use of texture.Draw everyday and forget about the eraser, mistakes are part of learning, you can't expect to be ultra good at the beginning | ||

Loomis is the fucking MAN, George Bridgman and Burne Hogarth are more advanced / stylized / particular / technical versions of THE MAN. I've done two loomis books cover - to - cover, and made it most of the way through a Hogarth. The Loomis books are a lot more fun to go through, but you learn a lil' more complex stuff from the other two. | ||
