As you said, it's impossible to know what could have been different if only... - so I hope you will be able to stop dwelling on it and just accept it as a part of who you are today and enjoy what you have. It is these seemingly heart-breaking experiences like this that shape the strongest and fairest people; you seem to have handled yourself well, and while I'm sure losing what you thought was the love of your life hurts, you wouldn't be the person you are today without that loss in your past.

Since I wrote this blog I have received a few PM's about it. I replied to one a few minutes ago, but I wanted to post here because it applies to everyone who has reached out to me personally regarding my story.

This blog was the result of many years of having everything bottled up, unable to tell anyone about the greatest thing I have ever experienced and the cause of the pain that will most likely haunt me for the remainder of my life.

Being able to share my story with everyone has really helped me find some** peace with everything. Thank you so much for the kind words. Your message here, and the messages of others, have served as a sort of healing for me.
