And after about 25 hours of gameplay, the strangest thing has suddenly happened, starting in the last 3 or so hours of gameplay (in Black Ops 2). If I'm moving, I literally will not see people unless they are really damn close to me or are sticking out against something like a solid white background. Now before we say this is just me being bad, because it is, but wait - there is something even more curious here. Some maps have random plants on them, which is generally just some green shit on the wall or w/e. I will absolutely 80%+ of the time see these plants as a fully animated person, swinging his gun around at me etc. I will then start shooting at it, and after about 3 seconds the fully realistic, moving, acting person will suddenly turn into a plant right in front of my eyes - because of course it was a plant all along.
This is so trippy I don't even know what to say lol. I'm literally seeing plants as very convincing people, and then seeing those people turn back into plants. Somehow this didn't happen until I'd played for about 22 hours of total gameplay over the last week and a bit.
And no, I'm not on anything.

Could you draw a picture of a plant person for us? Also, maybe if you used a smaller screen your eyes could track easier.

It's the first stage in going into vegetative state. The risk is heightened by the exposure to Military Shooters.

Clearly, plants like this were put into the game so people like you would mistake them for players and shoot at them, but then notice that you had actually shot at a plant and feel bad for shooting at that plant, thus brainwashing you into loving plants.

that happens to me to when i first started playing cs. I was like is that dark spot his helmet. THen i would die >.<
it helps to turn up brightness and stuff so you don't mistake them

Dude, you should take a break. 25 hours staright is not good for you, I don't care how good the game is.

Pretty sure it wasn't straight.
Also lol at the millitary shooters comment.
Has this happened in any other games? o.0

If you're not on anything, what's underneath you?

Maybe you're experiencing motion sicknes. If that's the case, then increase fov, and as someone else mentioned, brightness as well.

Take breaks regularly. 1 hour of playing, 15 minute break while NOT AT THE COMPUTER. Go for a walk or walk around the house, do your laundry, prepare dinner or get some groceries. After 3-4 of these 1 hour sessions just stop gaming and do something else.

I recommend trying out BF3/Planetside 2 their great shooters. If you played 25 hours straight (sounds more like you've played for 25 hours worth?) then that'll cause that problem to

Lol I passed out asleep like 2 min after making this post. Fuck, I'm still tired as shit. I will return with MS Paint when I recover brb.

I had a similar experience after playing a bbg (yes a LONG time ago) for 60+ hours, planetarion beta 2 mins ticks.
I was convinced shit was moving around the pc room in my peripheral vision, but I was just tripping balls from not sleeping.

If you were so tired that you passed out, fatigue plus expectations of seeing a player there can easily induce hallucinations like that. I often think I've seen a player in peripheral vision when it's actually an object, or not see enemies in certain games. It's really easy in games like CS, but in BF3 they tend to blend in, especially because of the long distances. And I've been playing FPS games for seven years...

Make a sniper class and play it sometimes. Will make you better gamer.
I played a stupid amount of BO2 on the PS3 at my brothers (9hr straight for 3 days straight) and this crap doesn't happen to me.
The only way CoD is remotely fun for me is if you're sitting on a couch playing on a console with a huge TV in front of you. Also turn down ambient sounds, as they are relatively useless and only take away from your attention.
