IPL4 / Vegas - Pictures and experience

Hey everyone

So I went to Vegas this past weekend to check out IPL4, and man, was it a blast!
I took two buddies of mine out to Vegas with me, although they didn't go in the tournament (They don't play games really

). This was my first IPL event as well as my first time in Vegas since I just turned 21 in Feb. :S

Well we live in California so we decided just to drive since it was only about a 3-4 hour trip and with my tc we could make it in a little more than half of a tank so why not. Due to us lagging it hard core I didn't actually arrive to Vegas until about 6:30 pm on Friday, even though I told them that we should leave by 9am -__-. Either way I knew I wasn't really going to be able to see any games or anything on Friday.Overall the ride was super boring, not much to see but mountains and desert on either side for pretty much the entire drive.

We decided to stay at Excalibur because I waited too long to book a room at the Cosmo due to money issues. It was still pretty cool though!

Honestly, I hardly spent any time at the tournament. It was probably due to the fact that I didn't see anyone I knew and my buddies that I went to Vegas with didn't want to go in. But I did get to snap some photos of some pros so that was enough for me

And the games I did watch were pretty good so that was an added bonus.

But anyways enough writing, it's time for some pictures!

All in all I had a great time in Vegas and at IPL4. I can't wait to go to IPL5 and hopefully i can meet some of you next time :D

I am sorry mate but I have had my share of absinth over the years and I cannot find any in the picture and I doubt that you put a plastic cup on fire. Unless it was just a statement, then I can only agree.

Nice pictures, Las Vegas seems like a fun place to be

First of all, you don't set the cup on fire, only the sugar which rests on a fire-proof (duh) spoon. Second of all there are a variety of absinthes which you don't need to sugar or just pour the sugar in without caramelizing it first. But still, drinking absinthe from a cup? Not very gentlemanly at all.

Oh my of course you do not set the cup on fire. And I only use ice cold water and non burning sugar anyway, but I know that most people like to have the burning effect for show or other reasons. When I am in Prague I always "have" to burn it but I would not do it with quality Absinth either.

Uhm super jealous, some day I will go to Las Vegas too.

Yes I agree the cup wasn't too classy.. But I didn't have much of a choice to be honest :|
