Just had my first lucid last night! It was freakin amazing.

I was playing football with a bunch of random friends from school until someone tackled me. I got pissed off and started punching him in the face then all of a sudden I stopped. I asked myself if I was dreaming and did a reality check (I poked my fingers into my palm to see if they would go through). They didn't, but BOOM! Somehow I realized that I actually was dreaming and I became fully aware in my dream! It was freakin AWESOME! I started running around the field shouting and screaming, and everyone else continued on with their business as if I wasn't there.
I ran down to the end zone and stopped for a second. I could literally feel a cool wind blowing against my skin!!
I started yelling at the sky to make it turn green, but it wouldn't ):

So I ran back to the sideline and had awesome sex with some girl that was apparently waiting for me.

After that I teleported into my room. I tried to make myself levitate and fly, but I couldn't do it ):

I started to lose my lucidity after that. I walked out of my room and my mom was talking on the phone.
She even got mad at me because I was interrupting her. That's when I definitely believed that I wasn't dreaming.

But, it was only a false awakening. Those things are weird. I woke up after that and immediately wrote my whole experience into my dream journal.

I read on another website that you can communicate with your subconscious while dreaming. You can do this by essentially yelling at the "black emptiness" inside your dream. Seeing as I've only had one lucid dream, I really want to try this out. Some example questions to ask that I read were things like, "Show me something hilarious!" or, "Show me what's important."

I'm going to sleep soon, so hopefully I can have another lucid dream. I really want to fly!

Would you say writing in a dream journal has helped you have this lucid dream? I've never experienced one (the dream) but they seem cool as hell.

Haha, that's awesome. I've had a handful of these before, but they never seem to last very long. I think you need to have Inception-style dedication to remembering/controlling dreams to get them frequently. I remember in one, I was at work. All of the lights were out and it suddenly dawned on me.... wait a second, why would we be working with all of the lights out? That doesn't make any sense. I turned to my coworker and went "This is a dream, isn't it?" He goes "Yes, sir, I believe it is." Then we just left. I'm not going to work in a dream, dammit.

Would describe yourself as fully awake when lucid dreaming? One of the reasons I stopped lucid dreaming was that I felt that while lucid dreaming I would only be in a semi-awake state of mind, and that any excitement at all generally caused me to wake up, but that could have simply been due to lack of skill.

Also, I believe there are numerous techniques that can be used to make flying in your dreams easier, such as imagining you are being pulled like a rubber band toward a point, or that you are climbing invisible stairs.

Dreams with sex, always fun!

Had a lucid dream where I was falling for an eternity in a bright emptiness... But then again my dreams rarely make sense, just waking up and telling myself WTF was that?

Ah, I don't enjoy dreams that involve things such as sex. It's a bitch to deal with when you wake up in the morning. >.> Whenever I lucid dream I go on adventures to places I can't go normally, or go on long philosophical walks with fictional characters that I've always wanted to meet and talk with. But lucid dreams are awesome, they are very fun to have! I've also been keeping a dream journal as of late to hone my skill of lucid dreaming but one thing I'm really concerned with is that maybe my dream life will outshine my real life and that I won't want to live in the waking world anymore. Also I'm scared of the fact that people who lucid dream often also experience sleep paralysis often as well. But oh well, if I learn now at least if I get sent to prison for something I'll have something to do besides sit in a cell all day long waiting out my sentence. I'll be able to vacation on Hawaii instead!

I used to get lucid dreams a lot when i was younger, the flying ones are great, the higher you go the slower it seems to go, if you want to get a sense of speed, fly close to hills mountains :D you can find techniques on the web how to lucid dream,, but the best thing is to keep a dream diary, and also to ask yourself multiple times per day 'Am i dreaming right now?' it may seem obvious that you are awake, right? but usually you still have to question it. Everytime you use the toilet, or get a drink of water.. something like that. Also, alcohol, weed, and growing old ~ all these things will make it more difficult to lucid dream, and not only lucid dream, but remembering your lucid dream. Also when your inside your dream and realise it, a lot of the time you will become so excited that you will open your eyes.. not sure how to battle that, think you just have to relax and stay calm. lucid dreaming is great for deep thinking, you can have a 2 minute dream that will feel like it can last for hours! imagine all that downtime put to good use! Good luck dreamers..

oh one more thing, if you are having trouble flying, try bouncing... its probably actually more fun than flying cause you can gather some serious speed and height!

I had a lucid dream where I had sex with a girl in midair. I wanted to see if I could levitate. Pretty amazing too, had to stop because I was afraid it would become a wet dream. It was my only lucid dream.

All I can say is try to imagine seeing yourself from outside your body. Close your eyes and visualize while you're in your dream and you'll start flying.

In addition, I find that there are more opportunities to lucid dreaming when you expose yourself to uncomfortable positions to sleep in. It gives you sleep paralysis too. The only time I was able to induce lucid dreaming was by using a trigger, something to realize "hey I'm in a dream". Not all triggers will work. For a week or two I drew an eye on the back of my hand as a trigger but I actually saw the eye in my dream when I went to check. You have to look for recurring patterns in your dreams to use as a trigger. For me it was a girl.

LOL.

You know what's the greatest bitch? Going from a lucid dream that you know you are dreaming about but let it play out anyways, then take an astral view of sorts of the situation, only to find yourself partially aware/awake, but in a half paralyzed state where willing your physical body to move is awkward because it is as if you are going through an astral intermediary. In the end it is a pain in the ass to try to move.

Definitely. Keeping a dream journal really helps in remembering your dreams, and you'll never know if you have a lucid dream without remembering it. I've only had one for two weeks now but it tremendously helps with dream recalling.

My mind was fully aware that I was in a dream, but my body wasn't awake. If that makes sense?
